๐Ÿ˜› amitava123gems listed a coral necklace that i wanted to buy. when i clicked the buy it now Option i got a msg that says " Buying Activity Limit Reached

To help protect your account, we limit the amount of items purchased by a single account at any one time.

This buying limit is temporary. You can come back soon and buy more items. "

Now there are NO unpaid items. all items i bought are paid for. i have bid on 5 Items..god alone knows if i will win them or lose the bids to either Shill Bidding or fraud bidders.. in such a case i dont think its fair to place a limit on a buyer. its like ebay is underestimating a persons credit worthiness to pay for a product. my ICICI card gives me a limit of 100,000. my SBI card has a limit of 50,000, my ABN Amro debit card has a balance of rs. 4,50,000/- inspite of this its frustrating when i get this message everytime i bid. i guess ebay should place this limit wen a person has not paid for the items. and not wen a person has just bid on some items.

hi...as to what i think of this whole thing......buyer limitation is necesaary..but in case of those who do not have SMS / Credit card verification... secondly i guess many sellers still Treat their customers like DOGS..not GODS....that attitude should change....i will relate to you something which ahppend at a Nokia showroom... i went into a nokia showroom to ask the price of a N 70...the staff there pooh poohed me coz i was wearing sandles..old jeans and a T shirt...she asked me if i cud afford the handset.....i kept quiet and walked out... within 10 mins i went back in there..gave her my Visiting card and asked her if she still thoguht whether i could afford it..... and she was highgly apologetic.... now what was on my visiting card...??????? wanna know.....??? am a Practising Chartered Accountant.. hence i always say Never under estimate your buyer....since this is a passtime for me...selling / buying on ebay...

secondly...all new members are not frauds... cud be someone somewhere in India.. just got to know of ebay and found the prices quite reasonable.... EG ... one of my buyers under my old ID had bought a Nokia 6600 at 9500/- whereas in his state the same costed him 10500/- .. such buyers could naturally be voracious buyers / bidders.... thirdly i still stand by what i have stated in this post as well in my replies to Posting id... give a person his due..NEVER under estimate another person..thats what the great men of our times have stressed upon! as regards limits..place limits on Buyers with Unpaid items...not on the total items he has bid..coz he may not be a winner in all bids... as of now... my total bids (winning) are 4...amount is 30,551..yet i cannot buy anything on buy it now...forget bidding...even if i have the means to buy them and even though i am willing to pay from them thru paisa pay immediately..some rethink is required from ebay as regards this.!
