I have also noted that you are currently the top bidder for 3 Jagsar Handsets from seller cheap_tech_gadgets. Do you intend to pay for all 3 handsets if you win all 3?
There is another reason for placing bidding limits on new users.
A number of unscrupulous sellers bid on their auctions to increase the price of the product - this is known as shill bidding.
Their modus operandi is to open new accounts from cybercafes and bid on more than 10-15 of their auctions and increase the rate of products to their minimum expected price. They use these ids for a few days and than create new ids and forget these ones.
This way they avoid detection of their shill bidding activities.
Placing limits on new users is one effective way to stop such extensive shill bidding.

I have nothing against you. This is not a personal discussion. It is about a policy of buyer limitations.
If you want to talk about some other id, mention it - do not give vague references.
1) Yes you are not bidding on 30 items but 20. I beleive 20 live bids is a good enough restriction.
2) You can buy as much as you want but these are restricton on bidding for new members.
3) Sir if you expect any seller to sell you a product in auction or bin below his buying price you are living in a dream world.
4) I have never insinuated that you are a shill bidder but just mentioned a need for having buyer requirements.
5) For your information there is a Jasjar phone at Rs.37000/- on BIN.
6) Franky I did not see a single bid for Nokia N 70 mobile phone on the id - srjsms. And I would really love do business with the seller who is selling Nokia N 70 at 15,000/-
7) When I mean SMS verification, it was a meant as a Buyer requirement which a seller can set. Seller cannot today set CC verification as a Buyer Requirement.
8) As there are buyer limitations, eBay also places certain limitations on new sellers, viz ability to list mulitple quantity auctions, 1 day auctions, ability to open shops, etc. till a certain number of feedback is attained.
Yes limitations my be irksome for someone who is a old user but I do not beliver any new user who need to bid on as many as 20 auctions and if the O.P. need to bid on more than 20 auctions, he is more than welcome to use his old id, where I beleive no limitations would be there.
Now some of you must have noted that this is a posting id. Which means I want annonymity, hence I will not go into how old a user I am on eBay / Baazee.com or how many transacations I have completed. But let it suffice that I have been here for a some time and have done enough transactions on this site.
