I had a very unpleasant experience while buying from the seller viveraccount who is based in Goa. I won an item on bidding on the 4th of Nov. The guy did not send me an address. Then after several contact mails (as if I had the prerogative :O), he finally gave me his address on the 8th of Nov. I sent the payment (Rs.69) on the 9th of Nov. via Speed Post (I have the receipt and the item had already been dispatched to Panaji on the 10th which means it would have reached him in Vasco latest by the 13th) This guy never responded to any of my 12-15 queries about the payment reaching him and my product being sent. And there is no response still...X-(

The sellers IN is vivekaccount Sorry for the mistake. I would want to inform the eBay India team that the aforementioned seller has not replied to any of my queries and even the Dispute Console messages that I sent him. My Bank Account statement shows that Rs.69 has been transferred to this guy's account on the 5th of December. Please help me in either getting the product in a couple of days, or cancelling the deal and taking action against Vivek Dvivedi (vivekaccount). I am just so sad at ever having made this deal with this no good seller.

Hi,

The seller is having good feedbacks from his buyers. So hope you will receive your item. If not then I am sorry to say that it won't be worth to pursue for a refund from eBay under the Item Not Received Policy as they will deduct Rs. 50 as processing charges and not refund any shipping charges as you have not paid thru PaisaPay.

As a seller, I had a positive transaction with this member..
I too live in Goa, it takes 3 weeks for me to receive postal orders and demand drafts..
so its possible that they also have not received it in lazy old Goa.
Open a dispute, that will shock them into contacting you! and will also let ebay take over the communications for you. good luck.

Thank you emailswarup and havenindia for your respective responses. This query is sepcially for havenindia, I had already opened the dispute way back on the 2nd of December. Surprizingly, vivekaccount did not reply to even that! He did so only on the 10th of Dec saying that he had shipped the product on the 8th of Dec via some 'corporate courier'. I would want to know that how much time would it take for the product to be delivered now as you would have the experience of shipping to North India.
Goa, may be a lazy state in terms of postal service (even though I used Speed Post) but should he have not responded to my 12 queries via internet (I hope that's not slow in Goa!) before I opened the diapute?
Also, what should I rate him if my product does arrive? (+ve, -ve or neutral). Please answer in the light of all the arguments given by me in the 3 responses.

This is very frustrating. I appeal to the ebay team and other sellers to look into this matter. I havent had a worse experience of buying or customer service ever on any website. The deal with vivekaccount was done on the 4th of November. This guy never ever replied to any of my requests or queries barring once when he barely gave me details of when the product was sent, the courier service. And when I asked about the URL of the courier service or a local number so that atleast I could track my shipment, he did not respond. He said the the product was shipped on the 8th of December and I have not received it till the 25th. And this irresponsible, zero customer service guy did not respond to any of my several queries. What kind of service is this? I might understad 5 days or 7 or even 10. But more than that is unacceptable! And considering that I sent the payment on the 9th of November (because this lazy guy never gave me the address to which I had to send the payment!! Look at his audacity!!)

I would want to call upon the ebay India team to look into this, and other sellers to please giude me on what to do as a buyer. Also buyers who had similar experiences before.

I am sorry you had a bad experience!

If a buyer does not get his product, or the product is significantly not as described, the best option for the buyer is to open a Item Not received dispute agasint the seller.
[My eBay >>> Dispute Console (left side bar)>>> open a dispute]

If the seller does not respond, or the communication fails at any point of time, the buyer needs to close the dispute and escalate the calim for Buyer Protection claim.

I hope this information will be helpful to you and you will be able to recover your money/product. Do keep us updated on your experience.
