Power sellers Insulted and humiliated in Delhi

Hi,
I am a power seller from Delhi.
I wish no body goes through what i have gone through, My only fault was that i was a POWER Seller.
On 4 th January I received an invitation from EBay for the movie GURU, venue PVR Priya Date 14th Jan 2007, time 7:15 PM, as this was a small reward from EBay for being a Power Seller and upholding EBay Values,
EBay representatives were kind enough to call me 3 times and confirmed that i will reach the venue on time with my partner, Final Confirmation was done just 24 hours before the show with time and venue, we were told to reach the venue at least 30 mins before show time, and a person with EBay t shirt(for identification) will be waiting for us outside the Hall, and on presenting him the letter we will be given 2 complementary tickets, But on reaching the hall I was shocked to see a small unreadable notice on the ticket window, which read "EBay show Venue PVR Plaza Connaught Place". I was shocked to see the board. Driving down to the last moment changed venue was not possible as would have taken us at least 60 mins in given traffic conditions, and we had just 15 minutes in our hand. Suddenly i saw no of persons in the same state as mine with EBay invitations in hand. On contacting them everyone had the same story to tell, and everyone was in a state of shock, everyone felt humiliated, On contacting the Cinema hall management , we were bluntly told that show venue has been shifted and we should rush there, which was practically impossible.
Finally there was no one to answer us , and we had to come back home.
I am a medical practitioner by profession,I am a man of high dignity, honour and self esteem, and today i was insulted and humiliated in front of everyone
Till Yesterday i was proud to be an Ebayer and a Power seller ,The Power Seller symbol which i was proud of, is no more a Pride for me.I request EBay to please remove this symbol against my name .

Hi....

I am Another powerseller from Gurgaon who had to go through all this!!!!This is a case of gross mismanagement by the Ebay TEAM.

I was also contacted atleast 3-4 times by ebay ppl just to make sure i Dont miss the Movie(that was really sweet of them but where were they to inform about the change in the venue???!!!!).Infact i had not even received the invitation letter which they had sent but was told, i can give my eBAY id and name to the ebay representative and collect two tickets for the show as he wud be carrying a list of members with him.

Me and my husband drove all the way from Gurgaon just to find that there was no ebay representative at all present there and then we found sum more powersellers in a group and when we approached them, eveyone was really dissapointed and said that the venue had changed to Connought place.Since it was practically impossible to reach the other venue before the movie started, we had no choice but to return home humiliated.:-(

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused at the movie for Delhi PowerSellers. While our endeavor was to start the year with a pleasant event, but due to a miscommunication from our appointed agency, it did not turn out as per plan.

We will be reorganizing another event for Delhi PowerSellers shortly and will communicate the details by 17th Jan.

We once again regret this happening.

Hello to all who had a great taste of ebay's new year's humiliation programmm organised for Power Sellers.

It was well planned by ebay that they confirmed this 4 times on phone if we are coming or not ?

No body can imagine what the hell we faced there at PVR Priya.

My request to all sellers that never believe on such invitaions , these types of ivitaions are such a big kick on self respect.Plz see above mentioned apology mail by ebay they are planning to call of you again on 17 th . If you are planning to go again then be prepared to have another kick.

Can I ask ebay team after attending this humiliating show who would believe you ?

If this treatment is given to Power sellers , God knows what other sellers are facing who does not have power seller status.

God bless ebay sellers & save them from such humilation.

eBay truly values the PowerSeller Program, and over the last few months there has been significant effort towards making the India PowerSeller program more meaningful and to appreciate the efforts of our PowerSellers through dedicated Account Managers, merchandise blocks, exclusive promotions, packing material and tokens of our appreciation such as the PS laptop bag.

The exclusive screening for PowerSellers in Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai was one such small gesture from us appreciating your contribution towards the community and to strengthen our relationship further in 2007. While our Mumbai & Chennai shows went off well, the execution of the Delhi show unfortunately inconvenienced and angered our Delhi PowerSellers. From this team's standpoint, it is really unfortunate that the events of Sunday in Delhi have overshadowed the work done in the past few months.

Despite the set back, we look forward to continue our efforts to make the PowerSeller program more meaningful.

I was totally shocked that
there was no Ebay representative present at the venue. But I still managed
to go to PVR Plaza -- we came quite earlier and the suggestion was of placing a
notice was given by felinetrendz -- another powerseller.. otherwise u would not
have seen that small notice too and then u would be more angry... I reached much
before the time specified ... then felinetrendz took the initiative and entered
inside the hall and came to know that the venue is shifted to PVR Plaza .. then
we all somehow managed to reached at PVR Plaza by 5 - 10 minutes late. But it
should be informed us quite prior. I lost my cell that day and then I realized
it was in my car. After the show I found 2 missed calls and that must be from
Ebay. Anyways the movie was good so I am not at all angry on anyone and I would
like to thank Ebay for the combo coupons given alongwith the tickets. Thank you
Ebay.

If this way the Powerseller will be treated by eBay then may God help the seller who are new.

I knew that eBay is very unreponsible and selfish but by this incident I came to know that they even dont care about the reputation of the Powersellers,Who are the no doubt a very important part of eBay.

eBay India needs so many improvement but the main thing is that they dont want to accept the negative points in them and always want to express themselfes as RIGHT and BOSS.

I write here what I felt.
