Today I Post this thread because Its happened with me also. Yes, You guessed it right , for the first time, my account has come in to restrictions, but I feel that this will not be the last time.

Today Afternoon i got a mail from TNS that My account has been restricted because my buyer satisfaction rate is poor. I Am a seller who is selling actively for past two years,and has always maintained a feedback percentage of 99.9 or 99.8%(before the new feedback system), then suddenly it fell to 98.5%(after the New feedback system), Today morning my feedback percentage was 98.7% , . My score showed that I had received 188 positive FB,1 negative FB and 5 neutrals,in past 3o days, also I had 3 open disputes for Item not received or as described, Now all these 3 disputes were resolved some time ago, and also two buyers had also given me positive feed backs , but just they could find time to close the disputes, and Today I paid a price for this,
TNS could not see this because I think they are not located in Mumbai but located somewhere in outer space.

I have 2500+ positive FBs, My monthly average of +ve FBs is about 200, I get one negative and 5 neutrals ,and I am told that My buyer satisfaction rate is low.
At any given time I have 850+ listings live on eBay , and I am told that I am a non performing seller.
I hold Gold powerseller status ( which I am likely to loose because sales are already down) and i am told that if I do not improve, my account will be suspended.

My self a seller who has 2500+ positive feed backs. My account faces restrictions because I have 3 open disputes, which have been resolved but because buyers could not find time to close them, and I got 1 negative and 5 neutrals , on the other hand a seller who has sold 10 products in a month or year and got about 5 +ve feedbacks and no negative or neutrals has a higher buyer satisfaction rate that me .

I ASK THE COMMUNITY WHAT KIND OF CALCULATION IS THAT???
What is more important, buyer Satisfaction or just the Buyer Satisfaction Rate???

I have been a person who has been selling internationally on a large scale, and always made an effort to maintain my reputation on eBay,
Today My concern was not the restriction , but it was the humiliation I felt, that even after giving a sincere effort to eBay I was put in a category of sellers who are bad and non performing.
I have devoted most of my time to eBay because i thought that it was a wonderful platform,I always liked doing eBay.
I was always proud that i was a reputed seller on eBay, but today i am literally ashamed of my association with eBay. EBay has failed to take care of us.

Right now at midnight I literally have tears in my eyes, because after forming a bond with eBay.in and putting so much effort just to maintain a good reputation I just got a humiliating mail of this stupid department called TRUST AND SAFTY, who I believe now have gone to sleep for next one month.
I really feel sorry for myself

Also I request Ebay pinks not to reply to my this post, as i very well know that you do not understand us at all, and have nothing new to say , so please do not reply.

Hey see, this is called complete buyer satisfaction.

One of the buyers questioned me "What if I am not satisfied with the item?"

I replied "If you are not satisfied with it then you can keep the item and simultaneously take a refund."

The reply i got from the buyer "OK then I shall take it" but FORTUNATELY i have stopped all my listings. Poor buyer lost a chance to get the mobile as well as the money back.

True buyer satisfaction should be like this.

I feel insecure selling on eBay.in. Just imagine you are only warrior in a battle and no one to help you. Just imagine you are in an ocean without any life saving jackets. Selling on eBay is similar to that. If you are in trouble with any buyer, you are left alone and to top it your buyers get full refund including shipping costs. I have stopped selling on eBay. I have closed shop 2 months ago.
There are sellers who are overcharging VAT. That is other reason for me to stop selling on eBay. EBay is not for genuine sellers. It is always favouring fake sellers. EBay has no long term focus for their genuine sellers. Selling on eBay is dangerous and risky. No account manager will come out to help you in trouble.
Hence I have opted out of eBay for some time.

I have not listed last few days.
My story is somewhat different. I am here for last 3 years, about the time ebay India came into being. I got my first feedback a negative. But, you see, I got the support of the community and the buyer himself and it was smooth sailing.
Had it been today, they would have put me under guilotine. I use ebay as my showcase. I make friends and I got a lot of friends. I enjoy being a part of the community.
But the community values have deteriorated. Though there are more quality people, we hardly get any time to interact freely and enjoy being in.
New bosses have no foresight, to say the least.

Well...TnS has Trapped me too into the Restriction Net!!!!But with this feedback policy..one cannot expect much...a sinple neutral or negative can ruin the efforts and reputation of Years!!!!

I hope reading the posts of this thread will throw sum light on the illogical basis of the Policies Framed to Ebay Policy makers!!!!!

THIS IS WHAT I FEEL ON EBAY !!!!

ebay earns its money from sellers and not from buyers . if the ebay humiliates big n small sellers like this who is goin to sell over here .

1500+ listings will be free of charge!! is that a JOKE???....every seller is restricted to sell ....how do we come to list 1500 items???/ only to gain negative feedbacks???

power seller status: every seller has dropped down 2-5% due to neutral feedbacks that were unattended because a neautral says ( even in a dictionary !) that you are not HAPPY OR UNHAPPY ...so how does ebay accept it as unhappy n not happy??

buyers get shipment on time but still they complain the item not recieved only to gain complete refund....hu is to bear for the loss???


Ebay fees+paisa pay fees+Listing feeswe pay ebay paisa pay +listing fees +Shiping fees all of which accounts to 15%.....we also have the dead stock inventory +teh cost of the item ....profit is caculated on a break even analysis ...iff all sellers analyse, they will realise that they are paying off from their own pockets on ebay instead of making profits


POWER SELLER PROGRAMSwhat does this program gives you other than stupid tape n polythene bags that you can barely use? i will tell you ...NIGHTMARES!! that you dont loose ur status..i call this status a PARAM VEER CHAKRA coz you get param veer chakra after you die and you maintain a powerseller status with no sale and all loss on ebay . so if you want five stars batallion you need to loose your money here with lots of humiliation



i think i am done with ebay !! it is not a place to sell anymore ....just buy things ...use them and get 100% money bak !! hahahha

in india more then 80% get SNPC NOTICE
it means that in india more then 80 seller is froud or bad?
bazzee make mistake and becomes ebay not all right is with ebay and bazzee can not do any thing
check 2 years history every months listing is failing down and ebay India is slipping so many promotion so many paisa pay gift coupon but sales and listing ?
why it is dropping every month ?

We have been an ebay seller for almost 5years. And before the advent of the rating system We had maintained 99.8% feedback with only 1 negative feedback in past 5years . All the other disputes and cases were amicably resolved to the buyer satisfaction; this process was like any other business.

Then we got a policy of detailed DSR and Seller Dashboard
We noticed that our Buyer Satisfaction was Poor with 99.8% feedback. Baffled with this, we learned that we stand poorly as we charge excessive shipping as per buyer. Which in reality we don't & cant charge coz of Excessive shipping policy. We learned on this & incorporated the shipping value in product cost, which we inwardly think is a wrong practice.

Then came change in feedback rating to annual.

We had 5 neutral in a year which were practically given due to difference in perception of buyer or over expectation of buyer. But with change in policy this neutral got calculated to -ev calculation and over feedback for first time in years with more than 2000 sale worldwide dropped to 97.9%.

Followed by calculation of DSR on monthly basis and evolution on open disputes.
Which apparently is the same for small or big seller.
We got a SNP notice as in past few days as we had received 1 neutral and 2 disputes are open. We could have easily resolved neutral with buyer which we fell is not fair, as it says the product is good finishing is nice but lacks whatever the buyer presume is missing. (Very nice, finishing is good. Lack description of the Emerald and comes minced) . Refer two open disputes: apparently one dispute has already been resolved and irrespective of our request to buyer has hasn't closed the dispute. And other dispute was opened for item not received for which buyer had not paid. After his payment n our shipment , the dispute still stands open. NOW what do we do . Beg or cry in front of the buyers to resolve the 2 disputes other wise we loose to face the SNPs/

I think it is getting impossible to stand ground on ebay AND only IIT-ians with top grade should sell on ebay
Ebay expects us to make bulk sale, maintain a good infrastructure to answer queries n call, sell in consumer behavioral market , track our good (for the product which doesn't have track able delivery in India) and maintain 100% decorum with their DSR or feedback system.

Evolution n refinement of a system favoring the Consumer is good, as consumer defines market. But ignoring the elements to safeguard the flow of the market is a negative. Or is the system so superior and monopolist that it fails to understand the 2nd singular element SELLERS, after buyers.

There has been a paradigm shift in seller policy & face of interaction with ebay. We all will agree to this.
And undoubtfully,Ebay is a beautiful platform ! We all sellers agree with it

But we have all managed or defined our business parameters in this platform.
The advent of new polices is a surely full of condolences for Sellers like us.

I am also in same Boat. One of my ID with 1000+ Rating digidotonline is on same TnS line.
I am also thinking not to quit but make ebay part time and switch over to another E-Commerce site with a Bang
