Hi,

Thanks for your warm reply. I have few more to discuss here and I hope you would be able to reply before time closes for this discussion forum :

1) Suspended Sellers reinstate should be easy way - I know a friend of mine who was a super seller on ebay was suspended because of his unawareness of listings he made. He faxed his documents (residential proof) for reinstate but denied and was told to fax again!!!! This was ridiculous!!! isn't it! As he has prooved his residential proof so what on earth are required again? Further he was also receiving his paispay cheque to the same address that he gave proof - So, any logical explanation???????

2) Regarding Feedback left by Fake Buyers - To my idea you should implement this :
If a fake buyer left -ve rating to seller and seller applied for UPI and if he gets Fee Credit then the -ve rating which fake buyer has given should be lifted off also.

3) The Paisapay payment shouldn't be blocked of suspended sellers because if seller's a/c isn't reinstated then the SELLER looses all the money which he got from buyers. Only ebay a/c should be block for not to sale or buy. Why should his payments from buyers be blocked? This isn't logical.

4) Regarding International listing fees on ebay.in - It should be made free for only INDIAN Sellers with Indian addrsss (you should implement this check so that no Non-Indian sellers can post item on ebay.in

5) email notification of listing removal should be introduced without any wait. I have been getting reply from customer support that they have this email notification but till date I have seen no seller said about receiving it.

6) The 1 paisa fee promotion was great for International selling - you should implement this sort every month with other features also.

I hope you would get time to reply the above

Thanks

Punam

Dear Rajan,

One of the Most Important Issues hampering the international business for us on Ebay is PAYPAL.

We have started Listing our Jewels on Ebay.com directly also along with international listings on Ebay.in.

The Response is Great..But all the international customers want to pay through Paypal only..

What to do in these situations, as spoiling a deal is not a good sign for business and Goodwill of the Seller and EBay.in.

We have to accept the Payments using Paypal, but the Problem is with withdrawals.

PayPal allows Indian Sellers to withdraw only upto 2500 US DOLLARS - That is just equal to One Lakh Nine Thousand Rupees Only.

This is peanuts for a Jewellery Seller like us..

Moreover, the payment cannot be transferred to your Indian Account and cheques take 25 days to reach.

Ebay.in Listings have an option of Paisapay payments which some of the international buyers opt for but still they are not ready to send their documents.

If we list on Ebay.com as asked by the Ebay Team on Phone then Paisapay is not available and Paypal we cannot take for the obvious reasons that the Payments do not reach us.

For Ex -- We just Listed an auction on Ebay.com for a Diamond Solitaire Ring and paid 1050 Rs for Listing.

The Ring sold near about the target price of One Lakh Rupees and the customer insisted on paying using Paypal only.

We asked her to make a wire transfer or send a cheque but she refused saying that the Ebay Chat Support has told her not to send money by any other means than Ebay..which is PayPal in USA.

So..the situation is that we have the product ready for dispatch, The Listing Fees of 1000 Rs is also lost..

What to do..as apart from this we have thousand of dollars stuck in our PayPal account which we donot have access to due to Limit restrictions.

Moreover, many customers on Ebay India also are insisting on using Paypal.

WHAT TO DO???

STRANGE THING IS THAT WE CANT EVEN USE THAT PAYPAL MONEY TO PAY OUR EBAY FEES......

We assure you that if you Guys can find a solution to International Order Payment Problem then we can expand our business 4 times minimum..

HOPE TO SEE SOME BUSINESS SENSE PREVAIL..

Regards,
Rajan

hi rajan,

firstly i am so glad there seems to be someone who is answering ebayers queries...

my query is this - on the 23rd of june i couriered a cheque for the payment of my ebay fees which at that piont the invoice stated rs.123.68.
i expected by the beginning of july to see this reflected as a CLEARED fee - not as an alert that my account might be suspended/terminated!! i even went further to double chk with the courier company who sent across the pod for the same.

why hasnt the fee been taken out ? and what is the point of attaching the ebay invoice and sending it ON TIME if ebay is going to work like this?

i am brand new to ebay and have no desire to cheat ebay or people on ebay...however i will have to seriously rethink staying with ebay if i am sending my payments by courier and then seeing that an additional charge of 125.52 (appr. Rs. 1.84 added)

i would like this email to be retracted - the amount that i was sent to be honored - and the new Rs.1.84 removed as this charge wasnt mentioned originally...

pls do respond to this as i am quite upset and occurances such as this for people who are new to ebay doesnt reflect positively nor will it encourage us to continue.

thanks
priyanka

Dear Mr. Rajan

The problems I am facing are mentioned below

Fist problem

I have purchased Original Nokia Battery BL-5B (6403510308)from ritz_world on 10th June and paid through Paisa Pay On-line Bank Transfer. I have not yet received the item. This is under Dispute console. Neither seller is responding nor Ebay Team is responding. I am finding Ebay India Team is not all interacting.

2nd Problem

I have purchased Mulitipurpose 5kg Weighing Scale get accurate weight (4389951511) from gifts2gifts on 28th June and paid through Paisa Pay On-line Bank Transfer. I have not yet received the item. Today I have seen that they are no longer register user in Ebay. Now I do not know how to get the item or how to get back the money. I am really helpless.

Regards

Hi!,
I have recently placed order on ebay for Bushnell Poverview 50X80 binocular from seller binoindia.
I recieved it after 17 days of placing order. Payment was done through Paisa pay. I did ask seller about shipping but seller ignoredd my messages. I ended up giving a negative rating to him. The package when recived was in poor condition. The binocular seemed to be ok. But later when we used it, we discovered that it has a crack from inside. Also the model recieved was Bushnell Falcon 10X50.
There is a difference in make and power of both models. The displayed model on sale is of higher specification.
What i have recived is slightly lower spec. I contacted the seller but he is denying replacement or refund as it is broken. What should be done now? I feel cheated.
I would like to know if there is anything which can help me such case. Seller is cheating people by sending things other then displayed on ebay. and shipment related things are not clearly mentioned either on site.
I am thinking of not going online shopping anymore.

Hi namastecalcutta,

A quick response to your queries:

1. Suspended Seller Reinstatement - Yes, we agree with you that this process should be simpler and are working to that end. We will keep the community posted in this regard.

2. Feedback left by Fake Buyers - Your suggestion is quite similar to what we plan to implement. I hope you have read our Announcement on proposed changes to the feedback system.
As I mentioned earlier, we will be conducting an Online Workshop on these proposed changes. I invite you to participate in this workshop by clicking here - http://forums.ebay.in/thread.jspa?threadID=300001079.

3. Blocking PaisaPay Accounts of Suspended Sellers - I will forward your feedback to the PaisaPay team and discuss this with them.

4. International Listing Fees - This is a tough one, as we do not want to make the site more complex for our users to understand and use. Having said that, we will continue to look into ways in which we can provide maxiumum value for our users.

5. Email notification of listing removal - We do send mail notification out when listings are removed - you received the right answer from Customer Support.

6. 1 Paisa International Listing Fee Promotions - Thanks for your feedback. We regularly run promotions for various site features. You can view details of all these promotions in our Announcement Board - http://www2.ebay.com/aw/marketing-in.shtml

Thanks once again for engaged participation in this Open House!

Regards,
Rajan Best Regards

Hi Arind0m,

From your rating, I've noticed that you're a fairly regular buyer. It's unfortunate that you've had these 2 unpleasant experiences but I hope that your overall buying experience at eBay over the last year has been satisfactory.

To specifically respond to your queries:

With regard to your first problem, since you have already reported the problem through the Dispute Console, you can escalate this into a claim provided certain criteria are met. You can view details of this process in our Help Section by clicking here - http://pages.ebay.in/help/tp/inr-snad-process.html

For your second problem, again, you need to follow the Item Not Received Process to report this issue. As I have mentioned earlier, eBay has a Buyer Protection Program under which we cover cases where persons have been defrauded . You can read more details of this in our Help Section (http://pages.ebay.in/help/confidence/problems-fraud.html). We request you to please follow the process and notify us of your case. This will help us to track the fradulent activity and take necessary action.

Regards,
Rajan Best Regards
