I had posted my Alto for sale on eBay and a 'buyer' from Mangalore, one Yashwant, clicked on 'Quick Buy' by mistake!!!
When I tried to post a complaint to eBay, the link to customer support was not working (it's not working today, either!).
So I posted a feedback on the 'buyer' who didn't buy.
Now, despite the fact that the transaction has fallen through, I have received an invoice from eBay asking me to pay Rs 3000 and change for a transaction that did not happen.
Also, eBay fees tab is tucked away in some discrete corner, so unless one looks for it, one doesn't know what the fee is.
Why don't you guys put the fee up front in the interests of transparency? Also, why is it so difficult to reach customer support?
While I understand your online model is doing great with minimum human intervention, the transactions involve real world entities dealing with real world goods and services.
Kindly reverse the invoice issued for the transaction that never happened.
Thanks

Just spent some time on the boards today (made a separate posting on follow up items from our June Open House meeting)
Just wanted to encourage as many of you as possible to come on the boards at 5 pm on July 7th when Rajan will be on the boards to hear your feedback. While Rajan is the head of our Motors business please feel free to offer suggestions on any aspects of ebay that you like or want to improve. He will ensure in his capacity as a management team member that the right people work on the feedback and get back to you soon.
Would also request you to keep the feedback to issues that affect the overall community at large and not specific instances or individual difficulty that you are facing (for that you can contact us through the HELP section).
It was very insightful to hear all your suggestions last month when i conducted the Open House session (and i have to admit in some cases i was under fire from some of our users because we hadnt done a great job in meeting your requirements).
We hope to hear the same level of sincere and frank feedback and will work very hard to do all we can to make eBay India all that you want it to be. Regards
Gautam

I have been with BAAZEE since JULY 2005 and I would say the look and feel was best. All Sellers was very comfortable in selling through baazee. Since After ebay took over baazee, ebay laid out different listing policies/rules for india which made most sellers tucked/suspended away (30% sellers have dropped out to my knowledge).
I would say if ebay is globally then it would also have same rules. I have seen that some items are allowed on ebay.com but the same item is not allowed to sell on ebay.in - - - WHY?
More points :
BAAZEE wasn't charging for Worldwide so ebay should also not charge for Worldwide selling.
Ebay shouldn't suspend seller based on listing but should only suspend if seller tries to cheat or try to fraud or haven't paid the outstanding fees within time.
ebay should implement the "HOT ITEMS" as were on baazee. It was a unique thing on BAAZEE which no on earth in any auction was having this features.
The above are only my views. I have said what i have watched on ebay platform. And I know the above point wouldn't be replied accordingly. The above are only negetive points but there is also many +ve points of ebay which I would say is great
Regards
Punam

HOW CAN I PAY TO ANY INTERNATIONAL SELLER(SAY U.S.) IF I DONT HAVE MY ACCOUNT IN US.
THE ONLY FORM OF PAYMENT OFFERED BY EBAY IS USING PAYPAL WHICH IS FOR US BUYERS ONLY.
HOW CAN I PAY MY SELLER WHO HAS LISTED HS ITEM IN "EBAY U.S" AND WANTS PAYMENT IN DOLLARS
HOW CAN INDIAN BUYERS PAY INTERNATIONAL BUYERS INSTANTLY
NO SUCH BANKIN INDIA(WHETHER ITS ICICI OR IDBI )OFFERS A FACILITY OF PAYING INTERNATIONAL SELLER QUICKLY AND SAFELY
THE ONLY FACILITY OFFERED BY THESE BANKS IS FOREIGN DD OR WIRE TRANSFER FACILITY. SOME OF THE INTERNATIONAL SELLERS ARE RELUCTANT NOT TO GIVE THEIR ACCOUNT NO. TO BUYERS BECAUSE OF SECUIRITY REASONS SO WE CANNOT PAY HIM VIA FOREIGN DD OR WIRE TRANSFER.
IF EBAY CAN ESTABLISH A SYSTEM SUCH AS PAYPAL OR PAISAPAY WHICH ARE SAFE AND CONVENIENT MODE OF PAYMENT FOR INDIAN BUYERS TO PAY TO INTERNATIONAL SELLER IT WOULD BE GREAT HELP TO GLOBAL INDIANS
THANK U

I have a suggestion and query about your working system regarding suspension and paisapay.
For International : paypal and ebay goes along for selling+buying. If for any reasons the ebay account is suspended, the paypal a/c is not suspended and the seller can still use the paypal and receive the amount that the buyers has paid him for which he despatched the items.
For Indian : paispay and ebay goes along for selling+buying. If for any reasons the ebay account get's suspended, the PAISAPAY transaction (all amount received from buyers) gets locked up too.
I just wanna know why is this so??????? The Seller has shipped the consignment for which the buyer has paid him and if the sellers ebay a/c is suspended for some reasons - why the payment gets block. This is fully UN-JUSTIFIED.
I have been in touch with many of known sellers who are facing the problems and they had even sended documents for reactivation but the ebay hadn't reinstated their a/c. I don't know why?
SO SELLERS - ALWAYS TRY TO AVOID USING PAISAPAY because it is impossible to get your payments if your ebay a/c is suspended.
I hope ebay would find some solutions before sellers get fedup and this suspension matter gets worse.
I hope ebay staffs and members get's my point.!!!!
the above are only my VIEWS & OPINIONS. and I know ebay would never agree with INDIAN OPINIONS. And I fear that my opinions may get me suspended by ebay anytime because TRUTH ALWAYS HURTS

I Just want to bring to the notice of the EBay that many of the sellers try to chat the Customer by promosing the wrong time.
I HAVE REAL TIME EXPERINCE
i HAVE SHOPPED FOR NOKIA 6600 MOBILE, THE SELLER LISTED THAT YOU WILL GET THE MOBILE FOR JUST 1200/ ONLY( ONE THOUSAND TWO HUNDERED ONLY)
AND I HAVE WON THE BID AND THE SELLER STARTED EMAILING ME THAT TO SEND THE PAYMENT AND HE CONTACTED ME" THE FACT WAS THAT IT WAS A MULTI LEVEL MARKETING HE SAID THAT YOU JOIN AND MAKE FEW OF YOUR FRIEND JOIN AND YOU WILL WIN THE MOBILE." IS THIS FINE TO SHOW THE PRODUCT AND MAKE MEMBERS FOR "MLM"
SUCH MEMBERS SHOULD BE BANNED BY THE COMMUNITY AS THIS IS A REAL CHEATING.
