Announcing launch of all new PaisaPay!

We are pleased to announce that starting the week of 3rd December 2007 we will be launching several enhancements to PaisaPay. These enhancements are aimed at making transacting on eBay even more safe, fun and providing our buyers with a delightful experience. New PaisaPay will provide a mechanism for the buyers and sellers to complete their PaisaPay transactions with ease and help our sellers increase their business on eBay.

The New PaisaPay flow:

Key Highlights:

1. Providing a delightful buyer experience: Buyers will now be able to use PaisaPay for fast, assured purchases or get their money back! In case the buyer does not receive the item purchased with the prescribed timelines, he will have the option to get a quick refund.

2. Uniform performance guidelines for Sellers: In new PaisaPay the sellers will have fixed timelines within which they need to ship and deliver the item. This will help in providing a standardised seller experience where sellers will have clear performance guidelines. In case a seller needs more time to ship or deliver the product, he can request the buyer for a time extension.

3. Easy tracking of shipments for both Buyers & Sellers: Sellers will be required to enter the shipping details in My PaisaPay within the prescribed timelines. This will give buyers and sellers a quick reference point to know the shipment status thereby resulting in smooth communication between buyers & sellers.

4. Easy Refund Mechanism:

a. In case the seller is not able to ship the item: Seller can easily issue a refund to the buyer by not entering the shipping details within the prescribed timelines. In such cases PaisaPay will automatically issue a refund to the buyer. The sellers no longer need to follow the offline process of contacting PaisaPay Customer Support for issuing refund.

b. In case the buyer does not receive the item: If the buyer has not received the item within the prescribed timelines he has the option to raise a refund claim. In case the seller has delivered the item he will have 5 days to dispute the buyer’s claim. In case of any dispute between the buyer and seller on item delivery, PaisaPay’s decision will be final.

5. Seller Remittance on Buyer Confirmation: PaisaPay shall remit the money to the seller as soon as the buyer confirms item receipt or does not raise a refund claim in the prescribed timelines. Certain Qualified sellers will be eligible for Express Remittance.

6. Express Remittance for Qualified sellers: Sellers who qualify for Express Remittance will have their individual Express Remittance limit. Please note that Express Remittance is a privilege for sellers with strong business and good behaviour history on eBay. The option to offer this privilege to sellers will be at the sole discretion of PaisaPay.

7. Online Remittance to replace Demand Drafts: PaisaPay will remit seller’s money online to his bank account instead of mailing demand drafts. This will save both the courier & encashment time for the sellers. It will also mean no more cases of lost demand drafts.

8. Twice a week remittance cycle: PaisaPay will now be sending money to sellers twice a week (bi-weekly basis) replacing the process of weekly remittance.

9. All new My PaisaPay: The new ‘My PaisaPay’ in “My eBay”, will give buyers & sellers an easier interface to communicate with each other and stay updated on transaction details.

10. PaisaPay Phone Support to be extended to all seven days of the week: PaisaPay phone support will be extended to all seven days of the week (from current five days a week) from the month of December 07.

11. PaisaPay becomes mandatory: All listings will automatically offer PaisaPay as a mode of payment. Sellers can also offer other mode of payments. Sellers with 20 or less listings will be able to offer PaisaPay as the only mode of payment. Read FAQ’s.

12. PaisaPay Invoice: To ease the process of reconciliation and accounting your PaisaPay transactions PaisaPay would be issuing a monthly Invoice to sellers.

13. eBay Buyer Protection remains the same: Buyers will continue to remain eligible for eBay Buyer Protection after time-out period. All other buyer protection features will remain the same. Read FAQ’s.

14. PaisaPay EMI Option: Sellers with 5 or more feedback will have the option to offer 3 and 6 month EMI in their listings, which can be availed by buyers paying via ICICI bank credit cards. Additional PaisaPay charges apply fro EMI transactions. Read FAQ’s

To avail the Enhanced PaisaPay facility from the week of December 3, 2007, all sellers will need to register again with PaisaPay and update their bank details here. We encourage you to update your details as soon as possible on this link. Read FAQ’s.

We understand that you might have questions to understand the changes better. Please feel free to read the FAQ’s, go through the details on this page and on the tutorial, contact our Customer Service team or post your questions on this thread.

We are very excited about these changes as we believe that this will help us in providing a high quality online shopping experience to our users and help in making eBay the favoured destination of online shoppers.

Regards,
The eBay Team

I suffered few times this month when buyer claimed that he received package intact but empty which me and my courier knows untrue.

I personally pack and ship all items and sometimes pay more than what I get from buyer. I seal each package so buyer will know when receiving delivery that it is tampered or not.

1)What will this paisapay will do with such buyers even if I have Shipping details.
2) Physical POD's with courier are sometimes available only at the end of month. What should I do?
3) more than 50% of my buyers do not leave feedback, don't reply to mails and sometime found that contact numbers are fraud.
4)Unpaid items are growing recently even after strict policies of ebay and setting within my account, who should contribute in suffering?

ONE MOST REALLITY........
Many sellers are part time sellers as in they have some business, job or activity and they are using ebay to make little extra provided that it was easy and not time bound. Should new policies mean, such sellers are no more required by ebay?

In other words, Do we have to get witnesses and photographs to show that we really packed items and shipped that package to buyers.

I have been seller and buyer on EBAY.COM since 2001 and even millions of china and nigerian buyer frauds, no such procedure was forced on us.

I believe, very soon excitement of selling with fade away from ebay.in.

miss sapana,

just answer my one very very simple question.

sellers are taking money in advance as i do and all others do.in that case we are completely secure.do u agree?

then what did u provided us with new paisapay?

we are secure only.

who are buying from us are also most secure if they buy from proper person.if not then u know.

now u r charging 4% paisapay fee to seller, that is totally unbelivable.u r providing best service and security to buyer, then charge 4% from them

why are u making our price high and less compitative against site like indiatimes and rediff.

pls do something or else ebay will soon be extinct.

regards

Hi Sapana,

Please see the sellers comments about the New PaisaPay.
We are totally feel helpless, any buyer can abuse us for no reason. It is good time for fraud buyers, i can say, who plan to receive everything for free and have good fun. You block them from one user ID, they open another user ID like mushroom and make fraud. For them -ve feedback has no meaning.

The new implementation of PaisaPay is totally done because of eBay's failure in cracking down the fraud sellers who run away with customer money by selling a branded Nokia for 1/2 price. Instead of cracking down such 5% bad guys you are cracking down rest of the 95% good sellers. It is like burning the whole house after you found a snake.

Anyway if the new rules is going to hurt my business, i will quit eBay selling for sure. Already i stopped getting any new stock from my supplier, to make sure i am successful in Jan and decide to continue or not. If eBay fails to secure my business in Dec, i quit from Jan.

Sad to say this, we cannot do any business for loss.

Kind regards,
CoolBrasCo.

EBAY's NEW PAISAPAY = TOTAL BUYER's FRAUD PROTECTION PROGRAM

eBay is meant for secure buyer experience....agree

but ebay in not a entity who manufactures or distribute goods itself. Sellers runs ebay. Without sellers, there is no ebay and this new initiative of "total buyer fraud protection program", ebay itself will be fraud soon.

One thing i am sure is there hasn't been such a hot discussion (DEBATE :)) for years. I cant resist writing my views here (Again):

Yes certainly INR ( as we hope) will be a thing of the past .... (i sud say Genuine INR) .. but i wanna ask .. will TnS accept buyers acceptance in My PaisaPay for item received as a proof in favor of buyers (i believe not)

As for SNAD i really believe that the WARRANTY Terms offered by the seller on the listing page is to be referred (not referring to the 2-3 days to check the product as suggest below) but to avoid Buyer Protection Misuse using the dispute console ...

If i could Bat a little for buyers i would certainly confirm that many sellers still get away with offering 6months - 1yr warranty on goods and the buyer is left with no option to claim then ...

One important fact is, no matter how much eBay tries to secure the site for buyers/sellers misuse of the system is bound to happen! A small percentage of such incidents wont upset the entire platform ... Trust is what drives a merchant based shopping portal ... And believe me its not just eBay where buyers have misused the system ... sellers have faced such a situation on other sites as well !!

A few logical steps (should have been taken long back) to avoid buyers misusing "Protection Claim" -

1. Warn buyers to check contents before accepting delivery of products. (At the same time ask sellers to mention tentative weight of the shipment on the POD receipt)

2. Compulsory Buyer Verification before passing any Protection Claim.

3. Compulsory opening of INR/SNAD dispute while filing -ve feedback .. (read this long time bck on community itself) ... or a declaration that they are not disputing the purchase (Yeah i always wanted to save 500bucks paid to ODR or those && paid to SquareTrade)

Still i feel this new system will be a success in the long run .. courier and logistic infrastructure has to improve to allow the growth of ecommerce ... Online Ticketing has boomed .. the only reason online shopping is still to catch equal pace is these small complications / -apart from the high prices (READ: COMISSION)
--------------------------------------------

One more thing i really wanted to say after the comments on my last post (regarding Product Lost in transit)- Yes i certainly believe the buyer is not at fault and the seller should accommodate this loss ... and frankly its rare .. very very rare .. but all i wanted to point is that eBay mentions in its policies that Product lost in Transit is buyers responsibility .. and yet we sellers are ready to stand in the line of fire in such cases ...

Dear Sapana,

Will you please clarify my points:

1) The customized "Handling Time" option in listing will be irrelevant once new paisapay takes over.

2) When one lists item and tell buyers various time lines (e.g. Handling time, Shipping option and time related to cost) eBay will control all policies of sellers and they have to obey the same. As a seller and as a buyer, we will have no choices of deciding such time lines any more.

3) Many of my buyers are those from Corporate Industries traveling. They request me prepone and postpone shipment depending upon their presence on registered address. In most cases they pay promptly but request shipment 2 or 3 weeks later.
This new system will have no such manual feed that understands the seller and buyers position and such transaction will be next to impossible.

4) When local buyers request pick-up and pay, they take freedom of time line and thus sometimes don't show up for weeks. What to do then?

5) Buyers who send money by M.O. or D.D. or Check, takes 10 days or around to reach to us, how do we follow timelines there?

Dear Sapna,

PLEASE CONSIDER THIS CASE.

I ALSO CALLED PAISAPAY AND PUT THIS TO FW TO EBAY MANAGMENT FOR PISAPAY TRANK & CONFIRM AND GET PAID POLICY.

Consider Information product sale ( You have special category for it)

There are lots of Software, ebooks and Other Programming scripts available on ebay.

General Priceing of it is 5 to 50 Ruppes. They got delivered via email or download link via email.

Right Now ebay india do not have digital delivery Option as ebay.com

In such situation if you make tracking and POD compulsory then it will kill the information product businesses on ebay india.

WHEN I CALLED PAISAPAY THEY ASKED ME TO WRITE CD AND SEND IT TO CUSTOMER VIA CURRIER.

CD Cost me Rs. 5.00/- Currier with trackin genrally cost 50 to 80 Rupees.

MEANS EIGHER THE BUSINESS WILL GET KILLED OR BUYER WILL HAVE TO PAY 500% MORE FOR THE SAME STUFF AND PART TIME SELLER LIKE ME HAVE TO BE FULL TIME FOR 500 A MONTH OR WILL HAVE TO STOP ADVERTISING ON EBAY AND FIND THE ALTERNATE SOURCE.

PLEASE ADVICE. I KNOW I WILL NOT GET AND HEARING FROM YOU.

THANKS.
EBIZSKILLS.

Hello One and All.

Following the successful motto of 'Slow and Steady Wins the Race',I have finally reached my century in the feedback.I have to receive a lot more but the customers are not bothered as they are worried only about their items.

The new paisapay is a very good challenege to me and would like to see how far i can proceed(seems that i wont be able to reach my double century, forget about touching 150!!) 🙂

It going to be a month of disputes and POD's.I still dont c my branch in the updated list of the branches.

"These enhancements are aimed at making transacting on eBay even more safe, fun and providing our buyers with a delightful experience." The second statement sure says it all,it would be pure fun to c the buyers enjoying freely and the sellers running here and there for sales to increase along with their feedback.

Dear ebizskills,

To answer the questions posted by you:

For items that are sent by Email you should select the courier company name as Others from the drop down and specify the buyer's email "address".

Remember: You should never hand deliver an item if you have received the payment from PaisaPay.

This is applicable once the new PaisaPay is launched.

Warm Regards,
Sapana
