Announcing launch of all new PaisaPay!

We are pleased to announce that starting the week of 3rd December 2007 we will be launching several enhancements to PaisaPay. These enhancements are aimed at making transacting on eBay even more safe, fun and providing our buyers with a delightful experience. New PaisaPay will provide a mechanism for the buyers and sellers to complete their PaisaPay transactions with ease and help our sellers increase their business on eBay.

The New PaisaPay flow:




Key Highlights:

 
1. Providing a delightful buyer experience: Buyers will now be able to use PaisaPay for fast, assured purchases or get their money back! In case the buyer does not receive the item purchased with the prescribed timelines, he will have the option to get a quick refund.

 
2. Uniform performance guidelines for Sellers: In new PaisaPay the sellers will have fixed timelines within which they need to ship and deliver the item. This will help in providing a standardised seller experience where sellers will have clear performance guidelines. In case a seller needs more time to ship or deliver the product, he can request the buyer for a time extension.

 
3. Easy tracking of shipments for both Buyers & Sellers: Sellers will be required to enter the shipping details in My PaisaPay within the prescribed timelines. This will give buyers and sellers a quick reference point to know the shipment status thereby resulting in smooth communication between buyers & sellers.

 
4. Easy Refund Mechanism:

  
a. In case the seller is not able to ship the item: Seller can easily issue a refund to the buyer by not entering the shipping details within the prescribed timelines. In such cases PaisaPay will automatically issue a refund to the buyer. The sellers no longer need to follow the offline process of contacting PaisaPay Customer Support for issuing refund.

  
b. In case the buyer does not receive the item: If the buyer has not received the item within the prescribed timelines he has the option to raise a refund claim. In case the seller has delivered the item he will have 5 days to dispute the buyer’s claim. In case of any dispute between the buyer and seller on item delivery, PaisaPay’s decision will be final.

 
5. Seller Remittance on Buyer Confirmation: PaisaPay shall remit the money to the seller as soon as the buyer confirms item receipt or does not raise a refund claim in the prescribed timelines. Certain Qualified sellers will be eligible for Express Remittance.

 
6. Express Remittance for Qualified sellers: Sellers who qualify for Express Remittance will have their individual Express Remittance limit. Please note that Express Remittance is a privilege for sellers with strong business and good behaviour history on eBay. The option to offer this privilege to sellers will be at the sole discretion of PaisaPay.

 
7. Online Remittance to replace Demand Drafts: PaisaPay will remit seller’s money online to his bank account instead of mailing demand drafts. This will save both the courier & encashment time for the sellers. It will also mean no more cases of lost demand drafts.

 
8. Twice a week remittance cycle: PaisaPay will now be sending money to sellers twice a week (bi-weekly basis) replacing the process of weekly remittance.

 
9. All new My PaisaPay: The new ‘My PaisaPay’ in “My eBay”, will give buyers & sellers an easier interface to communicate with each other and stay updated on transaction details.

 
10. PaisaPay Phone Support to be extended to all seven days of the week: PaisaPay phone support will be extended to all seven days of the week (from current five days a week) from the month of December 07.

 
11. PaisaPay becomes mandatory: All listings will automatically offer PaisaPay as a mode of payment. Sellers can also offer other mode of payments. Sellers with 20 or less listings will be able to offer PaisaPay as the only mode of payment. Read FAQ’s.

 
12. PaisaPay Invoice: To ease the process of reconciliation and accounting your PaisaPay transactions PaisaPay would be issuing a monthly Invoice to sellers.

 
13. eBay Buyer Protection remains the same: Buyers will continue to remain eligible for eBay Buyer Protection after time-out period. All other buyer protection features will remain the same. Read FAQ’s.

 
14. PaisaPay EMI Option: Sellers with 5 or more feedback will have the option to offer 3 and 6 month EMI in their listings, which can be availed by buyers paying via ICICI bank credit cards. Additional PaisaPay charges apply fro EMI transactions. Read FAQ’s


To avail the Enhanced PaisaPay facility from the week of December 3, 2007, all sellers will need to register again with PaisaPay and update their bank details here. We encourage you to update your details as soon as possible on this link. Read FAQ’s.

Thanks for you multiple posts and below are my answers

Dispatch and Delivery Timelines

If you are unable to dispatch the item within the allowed timelines which sellers know at the time of receiving the order, the seller has the ability to request the buyer for a Dispatch Time extension. A time extension, if accepted by the buyer, will provide you additional time to dispatch the item. Similarly the seller can also ask for Delivery Time Extension

If the buyer accepts the time extension the new time will come into effect and you would need to dispatch or / and deliver the product within the new timeline.

The upper limit on the maximum number of days the Dispatch Detail Time Extension shall be 23 days for Dispatch within and outside India.

Process of buyer making payments other than PaisaPay (DD/Cheque/Buyer Picks up & Pays etc)

The New Paisapay process, policies & timelines are only applicable to payments made through PaisaPay.

Sellers will be protected under the below two policies:
•Seller Refund Policy: eBay AG reimburses to Sellers who follow certain sound selling practices against Buyer misuse of PaisaPay Facility. eBay AG may cover the Seller as under:

1.Chargeback Protection: In case of a chargeback for non-item related reasons, the Seller can avail of reversal of the same by providing valid item Proof of Delivery within the stipulated timelines as given in the chargeback intimation email. Chargeback for item related reasons (like not as described, defective merchandise, etc.) are not eligible for chargeback protection. Chargeback refund is a privilege given to the Seller and eBay AG reserves the right to refuse reversal for chargebacks at any point of time without assigning any reasons thereto. Learn more about the PaisaPay Chargeback Policy.

2.Refund Claims – Seller Disagreement: In case a Buyer raises a PaisaPay Refund Claim the Seller can disagree to the same by providing a valid Proof of Delivery within 5 days of the Buyer raising the refund claim. Such cases of disagreement will be dealt as laid out in “Refund Claim Verification” clause given above.

To answer some of the questions posted by you:

eBay will follow the normal SNAD dispute process and the dispute if escalated for a claim will go through the Claims Verification. To know more about the SNAD processes please refer to this link: http://pages.ebay.in/help/tp/esppp-process.html

In regards to the refund claims where seller disagrees he needs to contact within 4 days of such notification with some sort of a proof for PaisaPay team to investigate.

As a result of the Claim Verification, the PaisaPay Refund Claim may be either accepted or rejected by eBay AG in its absolute authority which shall not be disputed by the Buyer. If the PaisaPay Refund Claim is accepted than the Transaction Price will be refunded to the Buyer. However, in case the same is rejected based on the Refund Claim Verification, Transaction Price shall not be refunded to the Buyer. eBay AG may contact the users for additional details / documents during the checks and verification process.

Dear Sapna,

With new paisapay system, as a seller has 10 days to deliver the item to buyer once he/she dispatches the item and the buyer has option to confirm the receipt from 11th to 15th day after dispatch.
If the buyer enters the non receipt of the item on 15 day and he gets the delivery just one day later, on 16th day, in such a case, clearly the pod can not be produced immediately as most courier companies takes a month long time to hand over the POD.
The buyer may not change the receipt status or he may not have a option to change the same as in the case of feedback- once left, can not be changed.
As per new paisapay, the seller will not get paisapay money for this item, nor he can produce POD within specified time - 4-5 days. clearly the seller will be a looser without any fault of his/ her.
What protection is available to seller in such a case?

Hi Sapana(di),
POD we cant give in time.But we can give tracking details etc.Then also tracking we cant give for registered airmail for international shipping.They are tracked by airport sorting which is not open to public.And,delivery report,in case of dispute, takes 2 to 3 months.If there be a dispute for shipping say to Italy,which normally takes 23 to 24 days,the genuine seller is going to suffer.

Fellow Sellers,
We got testing times (if not tough times) ahead. With the launch of new PaisaPay, Sellers' payments will be left at the mercy of buyers 'pressing a few buttons on their keyboards'.
I have always believed that Ebay sellers were more answerable in case of buyer disputes because of the Feedback system unique to the Ebay community. A buyer could readily open a dispute to express his/ her dislike. The buyer could even go to the extreme by leaving a NEGATIVE feedback which would always have a bearing on the Seller's performance in future. This was, no doubt, an added feature towards a Safe Buyer Experience.
As the saying goes "With Great Power comes Great Responsibility"; we know the new system of PaisaPay gives greater powers to buyers but will it make buyers more responsible? Pardon me! How can that be possible?
MOST SELLERS WANT TO STICK WITH THE OLD PAISAPAY SYTEM THAN BENEFIT FROM THE COOL NEW FEATURES (BANK DEPOSIT & EMIs)
We need to express our dislike soon after the new PaisaPay system goes online 3rd December.

Hey Sapana.

I dont see my branch yet in the list of the paisapay banks.I contacted my bank branch and they told that its NEFT enabled.And the funny part is that,some of the branches which has being put up in paisapay reg.(SBI) dont have transactions as it doesnt have personal banking account.The bank people where laughing like hell hearing this.

You have put up some unwanted bank branched and ignored the main branches.Kindly put up State Bank Of India,Broadway Branch located in Ernakulam/Kochi/Cochin on a priority basis as soon as possible.
