Very bad experience to buy product on ebay. If product does not come in order, ebay would ask you to prove it , in spite of the fact that they can too very well point out that product is not in order. They tell that they are just mediator between seller and buyer and what ever seller tells is true. They do not apply their mind. I do not know what does ebay guarantee means. My claim no is claim - 618187. I was continuously telling bill with over writing on bill date can not be used for claiming warranty, but they asked me to prove that. I has to write to Nokia care to get the same in writing. Company like ebay does not know that overwriting on bills is not acceptable. Very pathetic. Now they have closed the case without confirming with me if duplicate bill send by seller is in order. Very disappointing. Duplicate bill too have issues.

I have purchased Omron HEM 7120 Upper Arm Automatic Blood Pressure B P Monitor New Series

In connection with my claim ID 651438, I have received a Call  on 16th September 2014 at 07.34 pm. I have very clearly explained the lady on telephone that I have received the above said item and am not satisfied with the performance and wanted you to take back the item and arrange the refund.

On 17th September 2014 , I have received a call again  asking me the same questions which were asked on 16th September 2014 and I have once again informed the concerned lady representative that I wanted the item to be taken back and the refund to be arranged.

On 20th September 2014 I receive a mail as follows

We thank you for your precious time in helping us investigate the issue you faced with your purchase. We regret to inform you that after investigating the claim we are rejecting your eBay Guarantee* claim request. Click here for more information.

Remarks : I have checked the details of your claim and have noticed that the item purchased by you is under Manufacture warranty and hence excluded from eligible transactions for filing a claim under eBay guarantee. This is totally a blatent lie from ebay

Though I have been a regular satisfied buyer on Amazon.in and flipkart, I thought let me try Ebay for a change and I wish to state that my experience was not at all satisfactory.

For items what we buy from amazon.in, when we say that we  are not satisfied with the product,  the item is collected by them from my doorstep without any questions asked. This is the type of excellent service we get from amazon.in.

I had expected the same kind of service from E bay, but am totally disappointed with my first deal itself with E bay. 

Better be careful when buying from ebay. You could be swindled right under your nose

Very true, I also faced the same experience but since the value of the product I purchased was so small( neck pillow) it was not worth filing a case in the consumer court. Sellers on eBay are generally small time Shopkeepers who just want to sell and run without bothering about any consumer support or goodwill.
