out of delivery area

I am new to Ebay. I made a purchase of an earphone.When I checked the order status it sows that the item has been shipped and also it reached my city before two days.But the problemm is that it shows 'out of delivery area,What does this means ?
Can I collect the item from the courier office ?

out of delivery means the item is out for delivery to your address.
you do not need to go to courier office.
if courier people can not locate your address,, they will ring you on the number you provided when checking out.
please be sure to answer the calls.
The courier ppl will deliver the item at your door steps.
if you have any problem, please contact your seller.

What if the courier guys do not make that important call? I feel it is better to call the courier office, locate the item and collect it in person.

(ODA) Means outside delivery area it means courier partner cannot delivere shippment at your door step at you address you will have to go to the courier branch. and self collect the packet in ODA
