Why to receive a NEGATIVE FEEDBACK for an Unpaid transaction?

Hi Indraneel,

A buyer chantelle6126 has left a Negative Feedback for me for the transaction (Item # 150290105206) that has NOT been Paid.

I sent her reminder e-mails 2-3 times to pay but the buyer did not responded. I waited for 7 days then opened UPI dispute, still she did not responded. Again waiting for another 7 days I closed the dispute. The next day the buyer left the Negative Feedback saying that I did not communicated with her.

Now, can you tell me where I am wrong? Why should I receive a Negative feedback for the transaction that has not been paid?

I wrote to Customer Support Team twice and Kaelyn and Kathleen replied me with a copy and paste response with all the Policy and Criteria for leaving feedback and at the end they said they are helpless.

Once I had received a Positive Feedback from a buyer manoj19priya-2008 for Item # 160234022914 who had also not paid for the item. But that Feedback was withdrawn by eBay. Why?

Can you help me out to withdraw the Negative Feedback? You only say, is it genuine to receive a Negative Feedback for an Unpaid Item?

You are absolutely right. There is no application of mind from the CS team. Whenever any request is given for feedback removal they given the below mentioned canned email even when evidence is provided that the feedback is to harass the seller and malign his reputation.

One of their favourite reply is

If it is of any consolation, I know that most eBay members understand
that good members will acquire a few "battle scars" in the fight to
expose the less than honest members of the community. They'll look at a
member's complete history when deciding if they want to conduct business
with him or her. A member who is conscientious, helpful and honest will
always have many more positive comments that will overshadow a few
negative or neutral ones.

We believe that we will reduce any imbalance in the Feedback system with
these changes. Buyers will be able to more accurately assess sellers and
sellers will be protected from buyers who violate our policies (via the
Unpaid Item system and other reporting) without risking a cut in good
buyer activity.

I am happy to have been of some assistance to you in this matter and
thank you for your email.

It seems ebay wants us to digest the UPIs by proxy. What a brainwave!! Ebay been fair. Ebay is changed. Causing damages beyond repair.

Hi Indraneel, I am waiting for your response. You had convinced us that the Sellers will be protected by eBay by removing unfair Feedbacks. Do you not think my case is unfair, receiving a Negative Feedback for an Unpaid Transaction? Please help me. Your CS Team is helpless, they have nothing in their hands.

I am certainly with you. Such feedbacks are simply unjustified!!
Lately, I too have been receiving feedback which are truly undeserving ๐Ÿ˜ž . Neither Indraneel, nor Naveen or my account manager could help me remove it!!

Dear Ebayer,

We are a 100% genuine seller having our jewellery show-room since 25 years.

On 10th July, a sale was completed.
Buyer User ID: vinod151
We despatched Goods on 17th July.
Buyer confirmed the receipt on 2nd August.
Suddenly whimsically on 1st September he gave Negative
with highly derogatory remarks to our reputation as:

" THE SELLER HAS TRIED HIS BEST TO CHEAT THE CUSTOMER"
For information of any reader of this column,
I am giving address of the buyer and please contact him just to know where is our fault.

We contacted Ebay but as expected, they just gave cut paste reply. We are a reputed seller of our City and for Ebay we cannot allow our reputation to be ruined. The system of Feedback is 100% Buyer Bias and arbitrary.
There is no justification in giving instruction to Buyer,

" Buyer can leave feedback without fear......"

as if sellers are only thieves and buyers are God. This only policy has increased the fake buyers in Ebay.
7 out of 10 bidders are bogus because they do not have fear of anything.

We have started thinking, it is the wastage of time to develop profile by doing all ggod acts in Ebay. The fly by night sellers who cheats buyer by many means should be there. For genuine sellers like us, it is not the place. We can not digest these type of Feedbacks when we see daily our feedback, we had to start with Bad Morning.

If anything is not done seriously, good sellers will not be there. I strogly apeal to Ebay community to think over it. In Ebay India the policies cannot be like Ebay.com as buyers are not at all serious.

May God give Ebay a sensible approach.

Why are the pinks quite on this issue. It could happen to anyone and the entire seller fraternity is at risk.

Will Ebay stand up and be more responsible.

Hi All,

Some of the recent bad feedbacks (including neutrals) received by many sellers are not justified.

I received 2 negatives, both the users sent me a mail stating that it was left by mistake.

Though, buyer can leave any feedback without fear, It should not be mentioned as most of the new users doesn't know the importance of feedbacks.

eBay should allow members to leave neutral or negative only after the payment of the product. ---------------
