Where are the Buyers???????????????

Hello Sellers,

Offlate i have been experiencing very low sales. The lowest in this year for past 1 week.

This has increased with ebay not offering any gift coupouns.

Anybody experiencing the same situation.

I am a buyer and I tend to avoid ebay now because of the lack of true sellers. Most of the sellers I had recently dealt with didn't have the items with them but made a listing. After winning the item and paying by paisapay, the amount had to be later refunded. The seller didn't have the item to sell.

I wasted time on the deal. Now even if the item is not available locally, I ask the local dealers (in market) to get it on order and I can then buy it without any delays.

As for the auctions - I don't see many on ebay India now. Most of the listings have fixed price.

Sorry to hear your case. IF you can help us identify who such sellers are we can comment better. I dont think any powerseller above 200 feedback would be responsible for such a kind of service.

So just want to understand why you experience has been like this.

Also to help you understand the other side of coin. We come across buyers everyday who purchase and dont end up paying.

This is all a part and parcel of ebay.

Since you asked for it, here's one of the recent ones -

Case details : I bought two UMD discs for Sony PSP. I didn't get any reply from the seller on writing to him or any update on shipping information. Though it was still within the time duration, I went forward and called him. I was told by the seller that one of the two items was not available. Thankfully the seller initiated the refund from his side after the phone call.

As you can see, the seller has a good base. Lots of feedbacks (positive feedbacks, I guess from the time when sellers could leave negative feedbacks for buyers too). Yet I got to know the state of affairs after calling him.

To add more to it, I was offered that I could opt for another UMD if I wanteed and we would adjust the funds. I went through his items for sale on ebay and thought of buying 'Dexter' another UMD "listed by him for sale" but was not available.

I still say as a buyer, better sellers mean more buyers.

Somewhere else (in another thread which should have been named - Sellers who list items and don't have them) I was corrected that India has a good population and so the question of sales getting affected doesn't arise. Then why exactly is everyone over here saying that the sales are down ?

I am just a poor (at times harassed) buyer so consider me an outsider to your discussions. I just wanted to put my two pennies in.

You are a foreign buyer,buy worth 100$,your PayPal not working,offer foreign cheque which I dont accept and you spoil my feedback and I end up paying 12% FVF.

well i have been buyers on for the last two years on ebay i had very good experience with navkar_collection , and many others good sellers but in recent time i found so many bad sellers cheating,abusing even threatening buyers for negative feedback i can name if you like my last two feedback are negative for two sellers i bought iBall Digital Pen Tablet 5540U Cordless Pen Mouse 5.5X4 from one seller Accu Check ACTIVE Blood Sugar Meter with 10 FREE strips from other seller both company packed boxes were tempered when i report this matter to the seller i can name the seller the seller has my phone number and address he was calling from three different numbers he was very arrogant it looks ebay is now becoming paradise for gangsters now after this threat i don't courage to buy any thing from ebay i can name the seller i am not going to withdrew but negative feedback
but surely not going to buy any thing from ebay from now on, i bought 12 item this month
