Hi all,

Rule against any violation should be same for any seller, whether he/she is a PowerSeller or a seller with feedback score below 90% or a New Seller.

Seller a/c never be suspended only for one time violation. I can bet on that. I had a number of listing which was violated eBay listing policies. But at first instance when I came to know that violation, I immediately removed that. I never ignored any warning. I have got approx 12 warnings for different different violation phase by phase in last 10 months. Most of those products I was selling for the last 3/4 years. When someone (from eBay) is warning it is violation, then it is illegal. Kill that.

I was selling

1. Ab Belt - its a violation
2. Security Camera - its a violation
3. Hearing Aids - its a violation
4. Height Increase Device - its a violation
5. Massager Hair Brush - its a violation
6. Massager Tooth Brush - its a violation
7. Back Hermonizer - its a violation
8. Health Food suppliment - its a violation
9. Butterfly massager - its a violation
10. Linux Utilities(Free) - its a violation

I removed all the above listings at the first instance.

I have got warning for mentioning "Rs. 100 will be deducted if you pay cash to my ICICI Bank A/c" in payment information, I have removed this sentence.

I have got warning for leaving +ve feedback to the unpaid buyer, so that I can get paid with that praise. But now I have stopped leaving +ve feedback for them.

This is my experience with eBay TnS. Hope same is with all of you.

My listing for Deep heat Spray got deleted. i then asked for a calrification for certain items and this is the reply i got.

Medicated Oils that provide relief for sore muscles are not permitted on the site. With regards to shampoos as long as they don't state that they will help your hair grow longer cure dandruff etc they are allowed.
Cigarettes are not permitted to be listed on the site. Please note that items such as Equal, chocolates candies are not permitted on the site as they are in violation of our Food Policy.

so NO axe brand / gold medal medicated oil, NO tiger balm, no equal artificial sweetener. Actially coming to think of it - most of the items under beauty and health are not permitted. specially as i see now - BENGAY cream against arthritis, cold creams, even shampoos - since they come under the Drugs and cosmetics Act of India, even though even the panwala or a grocery store sells shampoo sachets, or a supermarket without a drug licence sells cold creams, tiger balms, herbal botanicals shampoo, deep heat spray etc.

my request to ebay is to compile a list of products which are not permittted. in other words - the product category along with brand name.

there are several products with excessive shipping charges. in one case a seller offers a saree for Re 1/- shipping charges 3500/-!!! now ebay has to do something about it. keep a cap on shipping charges. ie - for certain types of listings sepcify a maximum shipping fee. like for most articles shipping fee upto rs. 499 is reasonable. certain items like laptops etc need higher shipping ie. upto 2500/- certain policy is required to be worked out for this.. Navneeth, amitava, umang..can u suggest something to ebay ??

You were talking about suspension and now shipping.Why not stick to a topic at a time.The seller who cheats eBay of FVF can as well cheat buyer.At the same time ,he protects himself against false buyers.
Does a seller get a warning before suspension?I once got several phone calls to read jewelry policy carefully.But no warning as such.Other times the tutorial guys called ,gave some lessons and left a toll free number.Sometimes somebody calls and tells the good points of feature plus listing.But those cant be called real warning.I want peace.How do I get that?Truly,,Amitava

hi..amitava..i jumped to shipping..since even tho excessive shipping charges are violative of ebay policies... one suspends a seller for charging excessive shipping.... almost every time here is policy violation.... massagers face, tooth, body etc.. are violation, creams - cold cream, massage cream, fairness cream etc are violation, jewellery - without proper carotage and certificate as regards genuiness is violation.... so i request ebay to give item names...as to what is prohibited....i noticed sellers selling used Sarees yuck..!!! thats not violation..???

Its good the way you talk.I like your observation.What I feel very much is a lack of security.I dont know when I am going to be pulled up.You see,you dont do eBaying for money.You got enough of that.I also dont do eBaying for money,because my sons are grown up and I have been able to mobilise respectable sum which can be utilised after my travel to no return.I love to show my collection to guys all over the world.I like when somebody visits my shop.I dont mind even if they dont buy.I tell them to come again.I just want to be here.I dont sell at any other site.Dont have my website.Kinda I love eBay and hope to feel that eBay loves me.I think you understand.Truly,,Amitava
