hi Amitava...well ur right about the money part...we dont earn here..we lose it...yesterday i got a cntainer full of carpets and blankets from Dubai. i wanna show to the ebayers what products i have.. right from medicated oils to other products...but too many restrictions..


everytime i check my mail, i make a prayer that i dont see a mail reading your accunt has been suspended... even for the most silliest of reasons our accunts get suspended.. now for this container items....i havent recieved a bill. it cmes after 4 mnths since my supplier trusts me..but sadly ebay doesnt trust a seller...it thinks every seller is out to commit a fraud....so it protects the frauds (read: Mr. Shakawat Hussain) and penalises innocent sellers... another seller Sahil was suspended a few days ago...i had spoken to him on the phone..he was genuine...Anand pal another seller from Coimbatore was suspended today.. god knows when mera number aayega.. demanding proof of items in stock isnt the way out...a cunning person can obtain false bills and provide proof..what is important is to identify the fake sellers or fraud sellers..who do not have a fixed residence / office space.... tommorrow ebay might ask me to provide bills for the items i have listed....ceetain items i have bills....certain items the bills are yet to come..they normally come after 4 months since i have a contact with an ARAB dealer.. from Dubai..who never cares to send any bill

I don't think every product does not voilate policies of eBay. But there are few items which is not allowed at eBay.in though its allowed at eBay.com

This is because of some rules from the Govt. of India (I think so).

Also most of the times a good seller may voilate unknowingly.

So we should follow them if we need to be there at eBay for long duration.

So if we follow the policies correctly, then no problem! ---------------

Navneeth..the ebay listing policies are silent...they just make a general classification..and yes...the rules are not of the govt of India.. its the FDA rules of the USA. in India we can buy tiger balm / vicks vaporub off the counter in a supermarket... in US u need a prescription.... in india....Anti dandrff Shampoos are available in any store...in USA the Chemical Compositin need to be stated...

in other words.. WE DO NEED a clearcut definition of items allowed on ebay. i came to know that unless ebay is given a sample of the medicated oils that i wanted to list, they wouldnt be able say if theyre allowed on the site. every cosmetic sold here on ebay comes under the indian drugs and cosmetics Act- including the contour gels, breast enhancers, etc. massaging toothbrushes, hairbrushes are also banned as they are considered to be palliative..(sedative.. analgesic.. soothing.. how far this is right i dont know..coz am not a drug expert..

ok..software is not allowed since its a violation of Intellectual property rights... in which case all those PS1, PS2, Video and computer games that are sold at Re 1 with 79 Rs. Shipping need to be banned as they would be all pirated.

as regards clothing used clothing is banned... but still sellers are offering it. counterfeit items are banned too.. most of the sellers are selling "branded" watches at Re 1. Gucci, CK, Etc.. as regards shoes...again counterfeits are banned...still someone sells copper lee Shoes! Duplicate Brnads are banned.. yet someone sold me a allan England Shirt for rs. 499/-!!!

so also...zippo lighter Fluid..it comes under Banned item (explosive) still many sell it here!

also several balms, massagers etc are sold under beauty n health....they qualify as palliative substances by the mere definition given by ebay as regards those.. so thats why i am saying..if a seller wants to list a product.. he should enter the brnad name on a webpage..and the system should give a result as to whther such items are allowed or are banned... e.g. if i enter deep heat..the system should respond saying " not allowed" else how would a seller know that the items hez listing is allowed or no...
