Paisapay rules ( not very thougtful !! )

I would like to know why 'paisapay' has made compulsory dispatch time '7 days' for domestic and '10 days' for International shipment?

We deal in 'wooden furniture' and our products are made to order.The production time varies from 2-4 weeks depending on the design of the furniture.

Suggestion:-

1) It is better that you make strict rules for sellers to dispatch the goods in 'their decalred time' provided in their individual listings.As each product is different and required different time in production so you cannot bound the seller to deliver within '7 days' when he has already provided a declared 'delivery + production time' on each listing for the buyers.

It is not practical to send our 'wooden furniture products ' in 7 days.

You cannot compare 'electronic items' with 'wooden furniture' as 'electronic items' are kept in ready stock and 'wooden new furniture' is always made to order.

2) Here are the practical stats for our 'furniture category'.

Production time = 2-4 weeks
Delivery within India by Road transport = 5-10 days.
Delivery outside India by Seacargo = 25-55 days.
Delivery outside India by Aircargo = 5-7 days.


3) We cannot alert the buyers each and every time to look for the 'production time' provided in the listings.

Specially when the buyer will be eligible anyway to get the refund if the goods are not dispatched within 7 days.

I fully agree with idea :
It is better that you make strict rules for sellers to dispatch the goods in 'their decalred time' provided in their individual listings

Afterall a buyer confirms for a purchase after accepting delivery time offered by seller . eBay should not creat its own shipping rules . This is only going to reduce sales . Custom ordered goods can not be dispatched in time frames fixed by ebay .

We recently asked the customers for 'time extension requests' which they declined.

It is very very disspaointed to note that the whole charm of selling on ebay has gone to waste after such pathetic policy of dispatch within 7 days Or, 'begging' to the buyers for 'time extension'.

Such policies do not work on our product i.e 'wooden furniture' as all the designs are 'made to order' and 'production time' depends on the 'design of the funtiure'.We already declare the production time in all our individual product listing depending on the 'artwork'.

It was already so frustrating to ask for 'time extension' again and again to the buyers and adding to the frustration is the decline of the time extension requests.

I found ebay rules very unpractical and 'time consuming' specially in todays world.

We also pay our share of profit to ebay and they should be more thoughtful for the sellers.
