For two months now we were continuously in touch with the eBay staff with respect to payment not reflecting in our account and nothing was being done.

One post here and the issue has been resolved!

Hello,

I dont know why there is a difference. Carrot and stick approach might work. Editing the rating system would be a good idea. A blanket rating is not enough. Individual ratings on different aspects of selling is needed. If you have a certain percentage of negative ratings, you should be required to give an explanation. I dont know if that system is already in place. Percentage reliabilty as part of sellers ID History would be nice. That should be calculated on the basis of shipping time, replies to queries, accuracy of product description, customer service, etc. Reliabilty should have its reward as well. If you get sellers and buyers from EBay for conferences and brainstorming sessions I am sure a lot of good ideas will come up. Good luck, Anitha John

hi,Ia m DR Heena,one of ur members.i had taken a kids black board wth stand arnd first week of august to be deliverd in mumbai,india.i had taken it online as i am in UK presently.it was for my dear nephew on his birthday.i have been sending two to three messages till now stating that the stand of the black board is not in good condition so not in use by my family.i got reply 2 weeks back saying that i mend it from a carpenter.my brother tried to do this but it could not be mend.i had mailed 10 days back to ask u if u can replace it as it is not in use or i want my money back.i havnt got any reply as yet.please do reply to this mail else i would have to send it back to u.please do the needful.

Hello anithajohn,

Thank you for your feedback. As Avnish has mentioned, editing of ratings might not be a good idea as it can be misused for blackmailing users (I will change my negative rating to positive only if you...). Secondly, feedback is an integral part of eBay, and any change in this system will impact users from all over the world. So any change will have to take into consideration potential impact on the entire eBay community worldwide.

We have a programme called 'Voices' where we invite select buyers and sellers to our office for a day long discussion on buying and selling on eBay. We also hold Seller Meets in top cities to interact with our Top Sellers in these cities. We will continue to hold such programmes and look forward to getting constructive feedback from our participants in these programmes.

For users who are not part of these programmes, we have the Discussion Boards. The purpose of the boards is for our users to interact with each other and with us and provide us with their feedback regarding eBay. We hope more users such as yourself will be regular posters on these boards. Regards,

I WANTED TO BRING TO NOTICE THAT THE NEW BUYER ARE FACING PROBLEM, THEY DON'T KNOW THAT IF THEY WANT TO PAY BY CREDITCARD THEY HAVE TO CHOOSE OPTION PAISAPAY AND NOT OTHERS.THEY CHOOSE OTHER AND THEN SEND A MAIL THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO PAY BY CREDITCARD, THIS IS HAPPENING ESPICALLY WITH NEW BUYERS.WE ARE NOW GOING TO START WRITING IN OUR LISTING IF THEY WANT TO TO PAY BY CREDITCARD TO USE PAISAPAY OPTION.WE ARE LOOSING BUYER BECAUSE OF THIS.PLEASE ADVICE

On eBay, an user need not give a negative ratings to file a complaint, unlike on Baazee. A complaint is any dispute which a buyer has filed against a seller
