I am Anil Shenoy, Manager – Marketplace Health for eBay India.

Under this role, my team is responsible for Site policies & implementing proactive programs to ensure eBay India remains fair & safe for our community members. Over the last 6 months we have made modifications to our site policies (eBay Guarantee*, Feedback removal, Seller protection & Acceptable Payments policy) and launched outreach programs to educate new sellers to deliver to a good experience to our buyers.

I will be present on the Community Boards for an Open House session on 1st August 2011, between 4 pm and 5 pm.

I will encourage you to post your thoughts, comments and suggestions on this thread.

I am looking forward towards this meeting and I hope to gather lot of useful feedback from you.

Hi Anil

This is in continuation to my earlier message on my claim case no. - 52697 ; I forgot to mention that there were bomb blasts in mumbai this month therefore courier agencies were reluctant to carry parcels with electronic items for security reasons therefore I had to go and send parcel through special delivery.

Please help with the claim and let me be one of your satisfied customers for me to continue with eBay.

Hi Mr Anil,

Good to see you on the posts.

I guess all sellers have some or the other complaints with Vcustomer. Can you throw light on how you are managing them and what is been done to improve service of the vendor.

Often times i have personally experienced and many others have already claimed. Before even the item is returned to us vcustomer team approves the claim in the name of the buyer. Often the item received is used and abused and we as a seller suffer losses. Please dont tell us about seller protection as 1 in 1000 case is taken up in seller protection..

I still have a case on my other id which till date i have not received my reimbursement even though it was taken under seller protection. This leaves a bad taste at the end of it and even though we want to help buyers because of vcustomer service we feel sidelined and not happy to help.

I have spoken, written to each and every member of ebay but no progress till date. If you are really serious and mean what you say for seller protection please help resolve the case - FRORC003 eGuarantee Claim # < 44596 > - Sachin D. (KMM50434938V23614L0KM)

My second issue is that not all sellers are always available on the phone to take calls from your customer care as we are not full time sellers and have other jobs to do. However we are available on email and reply promplty. Still we received threatening emails from Vcustomer or ebay stating we tried contacting you since you were not available we have asked the buyer to return the item back. Why is it so. Cant ebay wait for an email response. It feels like we are thieves for the treatment we get from your team. Can you do anything to improve. To be honest i would not be happy with a cut and paste response that we have taken care of your complaint and will look in to it. Thats like government of india. Only those businesses are successfull which demonstrate action and are open on sharing appreciation and criticism.

Please know that my account (sastabazaar) has been restricted and more than Rs45000/- are on hold in my (from last 15 DAYS) Paisapay account without any of my fault or any valid reason in fact i don't have any due payment towards Paypal or eBay neither i have violated any policy.
When i contacted eBay i was told there is some issue with my Paypal account so as i was told to get the issue resolve with my Paypal user-id sastabazaar@gmail.com i tried to check the matter and i came to know that my Paypal account (although i have never used their services just registered once) has been limited as they wanted an address proof so i send them a scanned copy of my Ration Card and appealed to get the limitation removed...... but they denied the appeal and now The limitation cannot be appealed against anymore as they are closing the account as per their last email.
I have been doing my best to resolve the issue but find that paypal are not being reasonable and are hell bent on harassing me as ebay wants me to resolve my paypal account issue before they can remove the restriction on my account which has got nothing to do with Paypal as the payments are made by / thru Paisapay.
eBay is not being clear about why they are associating my eBay account with dormant Paypal account ?
why ebay is witholding my funds and on what grounds they can implicate me with my dormant paypal account ? How can they associate my ebay business account and eBay transactions with Paypal ? Why are they harassing me mentally and monetarily? Please know that i have not transacted any business with paypal since i opened my account , there are no dues or policy violation as i never used my said paypal account and my eBay account is fair and completely clean from any dues or violations as of now or any encumbrances.I find that ebay is being completely unfair to me in withholding my money and restricting my business activity inspite of my account being active as i cannot transact any business causing me immense losses and harm to my business as i cannot transact.

I have faith in your esteemed self and hope that you will do the needful to resolve the matter at the earliest.

Dear Sir,

kindly see the following case

1. Item: EP 630, SP: 650, Item id: 170647372026, PP id: 29388639343
2. buyer leaves negative without any mail. when contacted he said, his earphone did not work. asked him to take to service centre or return to us for replacement
3. he said send new one first, then he will remove negative. we refused to be blackmailed and got feedback removed under relevant clause (MFR warranty)
4. Buyer put up claim that he received some local item and send some pics of local item to ebay. received call for the same. told ebay not possible, but still agreed to replace if he sends it back and show pics.
5. later when i checked details, found it to be same customer, wrote a mail to ebay saying that buyer confirmed item receipt of correct item but just that item dint work. he tried feedback blackmail when we offered replacement/asked to take to service centre since it is under manufacturer warranty and also forwarded the whole email exchange to them.
6. no word from either ebay or buyer
7. One fine day, we just received a mail that the buyer has been refunded.
8. 650 is a small item and we can chose to ignore but it is setting a wrong precedent. such buyers will be motivated to do such things more in future.
9 . when it was proven by emails clearly that he had got the correct item, why was his payment refunded? or atleast some intimation to us before that.
10. i am only worried that this should not happen with one of my more expensive items

i m bringing this issue to highlight how things can go v v wrong if same thing were to happen with an expensive item

We would like to know that whether the following of our NEUTRAL FEEDBACK can be removed as they indicate that buyer is finally satisfied i.e.

1.""courier service not gave home delivery"" by Buyer id-anantsaxena0325
The door was close at the time of delivery so buyer had to collect it from the courier office.

2.""It is 1852MB(1.5GB) not 2GB. Even I take that format takes some spaces."" by Buyer id- dhirajpatra
Everyone know that any memory card or hard disk will not give full capacity as some memory is use for firmware and for its working now where are we wrong

But, the first time with e-Bay, even though i didn't get the item, still i feel good, for the fast response from u.I think E-Bay is doing good because of sellers like u.

Mr. Anil Sir,

@reliableenterprise has very correctly pointed out about member=rajeshgovil67, just see the image below he has given mostly NEUTRAL FEEDBACK to all sellers with good remark.

Please tell us how do we survive with such buyers. As @reliableenterprise is a victim, even I am victim of this buyer. I have called him on his cell nos about 50 times but it is switched off, I have sent him mail via ebay and to his personal email id but he is not replying.

Where is the sellers fault in this matter and why are we getting punished for this. Ebay make money ONLY because we work hard and still we take home less profit than ebay does and still we have to live with such buyers, this is not fair at all.

Please look into this matter URGENTLY and kindly REMOVE all feedback's given by this buyer.

Why ebat trust and safety always contradicts with their own statement. I got negative feedback from buyer id karpaga and when reported to ebay TNS they denied to taken action on the buyer after proving to them that buyer is with false contact info. If you do permit Me I can post the whole conversation with ebat ebay Trust and safety. I am sure after which I will be very difficult to belive that they are to safe guard the site.
