I am Anil Shenoy, Manager – Marketplace Health for eBay India.

Under this role, my team is responsible for Site policies & implementing proactive programs to ensure eBay India remains fair & safe for our community members. Over the last 6 months we have made modifications to our site policies (eBay Guarantee*, Feedback removal, Seller protection & Acceptable Payments policy) and launched outreach programs to educate new sellers to deliver to a good experience to our buyers.

I will be present on the Community Boards for an Open House session on 1st August 2011, between 4 pm and 5 pm.

I will encourage you to post your thoughts, comments and suggestions on this thread.

I am looking forward towards this meeting and I hope to gather lot of useful feedback from you.

Ebay has seazed my account and my remittance is put on hold. I am not able to list new items also.

I had earlier account as technocrats.solutions in which i had more than 400 transactions. Ebay didnot told me about policy violations and suddendly put Low performance tag in my account.

My account manager told me to improve and therefore I only listed good products there and removed all my other items. I also created another account and started maintaing it fro very first sale.

But now my both account remittance is on hold. Pl tell me what to do as I am feeling cheated by Ebay.

Whats the procedure. I mailed to them about listing restrictions but they told me that there is no procedure to appeal. I produced the proof of merchandise but no use.

I am in great problem.
I loose my job a year back and decided to start selling on ebay.
Everything was running smoothly. I started a shop. Ebay appointed a Account Manager to handle my account.
Ebay called me several times to tell me how to improve selling and increasing sale. But never alarmed me about the restrictions and their effects.
7 Days back my account got restricted not only this my Paisa Pay remittance is also put on hold.
I contacted trust and safety several times and mailed the also but no solution. They are cointinuously asking me to improve selling.
I removed negative and neutral feedbacks but customers mail request to remove negative feedbacks not recived by trust and safety. I can produce the proof of mail which I have received as I was marked as copy.
My Account manager also not picking up my phone and now not calling back to me.
Pl help me out. MY whole money is stuck with Ebay.

Dear Anil

One of my buyer has gave me neutral feedback on item no: 260713003790

"there was no option to select color in products descritption page."

1st of all there is no option in listing for providing color variation where buyer can select it. This option is not available in ebay india.

Secondly i have clearly mention "no color preference" in my listing.

Is it possible to get the neutral feedback removed ?

Dear Anilji,
Good evening. I am grateful to eBay and PaisaPay for many reasons.
You have increased store subscription. No issues. You have increased listing fees. No issues. But you have also reduced visibility of BIN in the shop. So much so that it is almost zero.
This is also no problem. I have learnt to survive with the help of a friend by the name of Mr. GOOGLE.
Please see if you can improve on services. I do not have my web site. But I do blog. Ebay is great. I shall try to make eBay greater. If you help me in this, I shall be obliged.

my queries are

1. Listing spamming must be strongly discouraged. disadvantages are
A. Buyer gets badly put off
B. he wastes his time, no one likes
C. leaves the search before getting to see desired item which might be there but couldnt see due to spamming
D. Lower sales since less variety is seen within a given page

2. if you search "vostro" in "all categories, u will understand what i am saying. its a headache n v frustating

3. Listings with shipping charges appear with reduced or nil shipping in searches. not fair on those whose total costs are lower but are not on top in lowest price searches. search 500gb in HDD and you will appreciate my question

Suggested Policy Change: Shipping time.

Ebay.com give you automatic 5 star rating if item is shipped in 1 days time.

This is such a good practice and Ebay.in should also do the same.

Dear Anil,

In last month One of eBay buyer has brough four sim dual standby phone. In discription its clearly mentioned that 2 sim will work and 2 sim will remain standby. After reading all buyer made the payment. After getting a product he raised claim under eBay guarantee stating that all sim are not working same time & then buyer insisted us to give either tri sim working phone or four sim working phone. For buyer satisfaction we asked him to ship the product. During that eBay guarantee people has tried to resolve the issue. When the buyer sent the product to us. We found that he used phone roughly and there were many scratches on it. As I agreed to send replcement I have sent tri sim phone to him. He got satisfied. But the thing is that I suffred from a loss due to buyers mistake. He sent that phone in used condition with lots of scrates. Who will bear this loss? Till date that item is with me. No one is ready to buy used phone. What is sellers mistake why he punished?

Please guide me hwo to handle such cases.
