I shall try to answer your queries as best as I can. You can always contact our Customer Support if you have any further queries - http://pages.ebay.in/help/contact_us/_base/index.html
1.I am not sure I understood your query. If you have decided to sell some items on eBay, and have listed those items, it is your responsibility to ensure that you take necessary care while dispatching the item to the buyer. eBay has a feedback system by which the buyer can rate you after the transaction. In addition, the buyer can always contact you at any stage during the transaction. You can also contact the buyer and ask him if he has received the product. As a seller you do not have a risk of non-payment as all transactions are paid for in advance by the buyers, and you can ship only after the payment is received by you.
2.Yes, sellers are responsible for damages in the product. Hence we suggest that you use a reputed courier company and good packaging material.
3.The fee per successful transaction on eBay is 5 % for Item Value up to Rs. 4,000. For items above Rs. 4,000, it is 5% of the initial Rs. 4,000 (Rs. 200.00), plus 2.5% of the remaining closing value. There are additional fees (optional) for various other features that you might choose to promote your listing. You can view our complete fee details here - http://pages.ebay.in/help/account/fees.html Regards...Ambareesh

We believe that Gallery Fee is a strong tool in a sellers hand to differentiate his more saleable products from the slower moving ones.
For sellers with a large amount of inventory or listings which you wish to maintain for a longer period of time, we would suggest this inventory be placed in shops and the faster moving items or items with restricted inventory with you be included as regular listings along with the gallery image so as to improve success rates and your profitability. 1.I have already given a response on a related post on Gallery Fee earlier, trust that would also answer your query
2.I agree with you that mis-categorization is a serious issue and should be avoided, as part of the Sell Your Item page today we provide recommendations to our sellers on where the item should be listed, and in case you do not find a relevant category, I would suggest you place the item under “others” also while listings on others use the email ID provided there to give feedback on the category structure. As I had indicated earlier, we constantly seek feedback on category structures so please also post the same on the category discussion boards so that all views can be tabled.
3.I take your feedback on Home page feature and we are working towards adding value to this feature for our sellers (refer my earlier post on Home Page Gallery Image) Regards...Ambareesh

We encourage sales to other countries and have over the last few months already offered significant promotions on the International Listing feature. We shall continue to provide meaningful benefits to sellers selling internationally through promotions and other initiatives. For example, Indian listings are treated on par with listings on ebay.com which gives our international sellers a level playing field even while selling to countries like the US. Regards...Ambareesh

Hi Ambareesh -- Sorry
but I m not satisfied with your answer -- We believe and know that a
listing with gallery has 2 times chances of sales then a non gallery listing.
This over the longer term should help us improve the quality of merchandise and
therefore overall buyer experience on site.
If all sellers will be using
gallery listing then ebay would also gain from this -- YES OR NO ?????

Category alignment to other eBay sites is a continuous process due to C&I optimizations across the world.
In case you wish to use tools such as the product finder, some of these (like the jewelery product finder)are very specific to the sites on which the buyers are searching, therefore to make full use of them, you would need to list on the buyers site itself. Regards...Ambareesh

If all items have gallery image there will be no differentiation amongst different items and gallery image in itself would not serve as a differentiator for quality merchandise. Regards...Ambareesh
