No safety for Seller on eBay

Hi,

I have recently joined eBay and started selling.
After being a seller for 2.5 months now, I feel there is no safety for the sellers on eBay.
Customers are at liberty to leave a negative feedback without even trying to resolve the problem with the seller.
If customers contact the seller, he will be ready to solve any issue the customer faced.
I feel eBay should change the feedback policy for negative feedbacks.
eBay should give option like before leaving a negative feedback, send an email to the seller or contact the seller.
If the seller is unresponsive or not ready to solve the issue, then the customer should be able to leave a negative feedback.
I am not saying negative feedback should not be given if the seller is wrong, but it should be given if seller is not ready to solve the issue.
I am the victim of such behavior from the customer.
First negative feedback on my account was a genuine mistake which happened because of the staff, but we were happily ready to resolve the customers problem. In fact we even send a replacement.
Second negative feedback - The customer states that the product received is not a good quality.
When spoke to the customer, came to know that he is not able to use it because he doesnt know to use the product and so he has left negative feedback stating quality is not good.
This way, sellers reputation is spoiled even though the seller is ready to solve the customers trouble, issue and concern.
If eBay is serious about sellers then reforms should be made in negative feedbacks.
It should be left only when seller is unresponsive and not supportive in resolving a issue.

Hi dude,
I Too received 2 negative Feedbacks as the buyer's Told me that he had three choices so he chose negative feedback,The new Buyer's either they leave no feedback or Negative feedback.I think it is right time ebay should make a change in feedback policy,bye:-)

thats a big problem to every seller. even the senior and most experienced sellers on ebay.in had and have facing these problems , but i do not think ebay can make any changes to feedback policy. that's sad but can't do anything.

same thing done with me so many times..

recently i got more the 3 -ve feedback without any communication, even customers are not ready to talk with us from solutions.

i think its a very big issue of -ve feedback.
even we tried to contact ebay tns team for unfair -ve feedback..the same answer we got that " sorry we cant help u on this " they ppl are not even ready to understand the case.

hope someone do something on this issue.

This is same with us. From last one month ebay has stopped our account saying your performance is low.
But customers of any old transaction are giving negative feedback of months ago now, if you dont allow us to do business then how it will be balanced?

EVEN FOR SERVICE OF COURIER COMPANY BUYER GIVE US NEGATIVE FEEDBACK WE DONT RUN COURIER COMPANY NOR WE ARE AGENT.

WE LIVE IN FAR FLUNG PLACE, HERE WE DONT HAVE AIRPORT SO ALL OUR ITEMS GO BY RAILWAY TO MUMBAI OR TO THE NEAREST AIRPORT CITY NAGPUR.
SO GENERALLY WE TAKE 3-4 TO DELIVER ITEMS TO BIG CITIES AND LOST IN TRANSIT CASES ARE MANY BECAUSE OF RAILWAY.

Last time we lost items worth 40,000/- there were some 10-15 items dispatched on samy day, in railway, on other hand when refund claims came we sent new item to buyers still buyers didnt change their negative feedback!!
For me it was double loss. Even after sending item customer never bothered to change feedback...also for the same ebay blocked our account.
Now, When ebay itself says nor seller or ebay is responsible for lost in transit of items, then why victimizing me?

MOST INTERESTING FACT TELLING TO ALL SELLERS- AFTER SENDING WRITTEN COPY FROM COURIER AND FIR COPIES OF LOST ITEM NO RESPONSE IS RECEIVED FROM T&S AND FIRST ONE TO STOP COMMUNICATION IS MY ACCOUNT MANAGER. ITS BEING 15 DAYS THEY JUST DONT ACT.

ALSO JUST SEARCH EBAY INDIA- SELLER WITH 80%-90% PERFORMANCE ARE WORKING AND DSR 3.9 OR 4.0 WITH FULL VISIBILITY, AND NO SELLING LIMIT, SOME OF THEM LIST ITEM ON DAILY DEAL WHEN I ASK WHY THEY ARE WORKING, THEN EITHER THEY DO NOT REPLAY OR ANSWER IS THEY ARE HIGH TURNOVER SELLER SO EBAY POLICY DO NOT APPLIES TO THEM!!
EBAY GUYS PUT ITEMS OF LOW RATING SELLER ON FRONT PAGE SO THAT THEIR RATING MAY IMPROVE, BUT FOR A SMALL TOWN SELLER OR NO APPROACH SELLER ITS TOUGH, IF YOU DONT BELIEVE SEE DAILY DEAL AND PERFORMANCE RATING OF SELLER WHO SELL ON DAILY DEAL
MINE IS 96% WITH LOWEST DSR 4.3 WHEN I ASKED T&S GUY HE QUIT FROM CHAT WHEN I CALLED T&s THEY SAID ITS UPTO YOU IF YOU WANT TO QUIT COMPANY.

MY ACCOUNT ON EBAY INDIA IS FROM 2003 BUT ACCORDING TO T&S , CUSTOMER CARE OR ACCOUNT MANAGER I AM NOT SO IMPORTANT SELLER OR BUYER TO THEM!!
AFTER HAVING TURNOVER OF 10 LAKH A MONTH OR USING FEATURES OF 1-2 LAKH A MONTH WE ARE NOT IMPORTANT SELLER FOR THEM!!

IF SOME RESPONSIBLE PERSON ON EBAY INDIA FEELS IM WRONG ASK ME I CAN PROVIDE YOU EMAIL COPIES, CHATS, EVERYTHING.

hi dude,
i too received 1 negative feedback from buyer who doesnot pay for my item.I called to ebay CC but they are not response satisfily.i think ebay should change rules for negative feed back.Buyer could not leave feedback without paying fees.and if buyer want to give negative feedback than n than he/she must email or call to the seller n than after they can leave any feedback.

Before publishing the negative feedback,ebay should keep the negative feedback on hold,contact the seller first.If the problem is unresolved than the feedback should be published.

Hi,
I know lots of sellers are facing this problem.
Today i faced another problem with the feedback.
Customer bought a product with COD and it was being processed.
After sometime ebay processed the order.
After 10 mins i get a negative feedback from him stating that he wants to cancel the product since he is getting it at half my price at naaptol.
I was shocked and checked everywhere on google but could not find anywhere the product being listed.
Called up the ebay TNS Team, they helped me removed the negative feedback.
It was relief for me since this was a unexpected and unwanted negative feedback.
This is the reason ebay should have an option which says contact buyer first, if no resolution is provided, give negative feedback.
EBAY PLEASE HELP the SELLER COMMUNITY.

Ebay is not giving any kind of service or help to seller it is totally for buyer..!! only because there are many seller ....as per ebay they are getting their order due to Large number of seller ...but what about the seller !!!! even giving good order or service to customer .....they play with us.!!!! customers are very well aware about the seller requirment ...so they post negative feedback..& ask seller to send new product ..even if the 1st product is working fine....if the value of the product is 100 or 200 seller doesnt ask for return....( due to return courier cost) in this case buyer get two product in one order

: We are ready to accept negative feedback, but there should be some time to resolve the issue !!!! ebay should not disclose the neg feedback say for time if seller is not ready to solve the problem within 24-48 hrs.....

Dear Ebay - Help seller otherwise one day will come there will not be any seller " ONLY buyer" will be there with no income to ebay !!!!!

Ebay please help the seller community grow.
There might be non genuine sellers, but for that all the genuine sellers should not suffer.
Please do something.
