Hello Members,

We have often heard from our community the need to have a third Party Online Dispute resolution mechanism that could assist our users in the Online Dispute Resolution process.

Based on your feedback, eBay is happy to announce the launch of third Party Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) on the Security and Resolution Centre.

ODR INDIA is an ODR service provider designed to aid in dispute resolution. At ODR INDIA any type of dispute can be resolved through

-Assisted Negotiation
-Automated Negotiation
-Mediation
-Arbitration

If you have any dispute on eBay, which you are unable to solve to your satisfaction after you lodge a complaint using eBay Dispute Resolution Console, you may take assistance of ODR INDIA. ODR India is easy, convenient and also has a special promotional offer exclusive for eBay users.

We hope you will find the above services useful. If you have any questions or clarifications, feel free to post on this thread

Regards,
Sapana

Is this for real?

What are the charges?

US$ 11 for assisted negotiation which is free in Square Trade.

US$ 34 for Mediation - Square Trade charges US$ 29.95. We were asking for an Indian Alternative at Indian Prices - Not US Prices. How many eBay.in sales are above US$ 34 ? I beleive the average value of an eBay.in transaction is US$10 . IF so how will a seller pay US$10 for mediation.

Rs.13,500/- for arbitration?????

Insanity.

God Bless eBay.in and TnS if this is their idea of ODR. You may be earning salaries in $$$$ but the site runs in India and transactions are done in Rs.

Promotional Fees are available for first 3 months. Standard eBay gimmicks.

What after 3 months? Quit India or Quit eBay?

Absolutely Unacceptable!

Hi,

I don't think this is useful as Square Trade.

The average per sale of my listings is around Rs.400/-

So if we go to the third party for just Assisted Negotiation, I should pay Rs.700/-

Why is it so? This is India and should be charged according to Indian Rupee value and not in Dollers. ---------------

Seriouly have you thought of seller like us who sell at rs250 per item with shipping, how do you expect us to use this service, you should have fee structure according to total value of item,, I know it cost to have someone hire some to take care still we small sellers can't afford it.

Dear Sir,

Please clarify few doubts :

1. What is the locus standi of this ODR in India
2. Is the decision of ODR is enforceable in India
3. How shall the ODR's decision be enforced in India
4. What are the releifs available unde ODR in India

These are the important ones as the traditional DRs
are not of much success in India.

Have a nice day !!!

I think this is way too costly, Rs.500 for automated negotiation!!! I understand that there is no human mediator in this, its just a 2-way communication on the ODRindia site. They charge money for this whereas on Square Trade it is ABSOLUTELY FREE!!!

Hello,

I think the Community should be provided a comparison table of fees charged by ODR India & that of Square Trade.

Lets see where do we stand.
