Gmail invite is a free service started by gmail where one can open a gmail email account for free by invitation only. I find apnservices from Tamil Nadu has listed this invite on ebay.in and is charging Rs. 20/ per invite. How can such a thing be done? Has he got permission from gmail to sell invites? Is he paying any royality to gamil. I think this listing should be checked.

Hi parthaadhicary_in1,
Thanks for your vigilance. Selling G-mail invite is violation of eBay policy. It will be great if you could report the problem to Customer Helpdesk via the following link:
http://pages.ebay.in/help/contact_us/_base/index.html
The Helpdesk will take care of the matter.
Warm Regards

HI Everyone,
If selling gmail is not allowed on eBay then how come there are 267 listings currently of gmail. on ebay.in and 900 listings on ebay.com. I was one of the first one to sell gmail on ebay but they suddenly removed my listings, when i sent complain to ebay they mailed me that they removed this item by mistake and there was a "error in judgement". they also told me that i can list these listings again and they were inside policy rules. How come today sapana is saying that hese are no allowed. i am finished of gmail invites thats y i dont sell any more. but in future if i need to sell would this be allowed or not please tell me. Reply please.
Regards
Abhishek

Dear Sapana,
I find that according to Abhishek of Telesolutions, there are 900 listings on ebay.com and 267 listings on ebay.in.
It has been sold previously also. I have nothing against this listing but just wanted to know if this is legal or not. Also if this is not legal, it should be removed. Ebay needs to be more careful. Also, I think it is easier at your end to report thenproblem to customer desk than me following links.
I would like ebay to provide a link on each page of the auction where by instead of going through all this, one is able to directly report a problem to ebay if one spots one.
Thanks
Partha

I was gonig thru the policy details on ebay. I saw that you are not supposed to list a link except as mentioned in the policy. This is a case of an outside link being sold. It is 100% illegal. It amounts to infringement into some others property.
