Since the time eBay has taken over, our sales are constantly on the decline. Our revenues have become 1/4th of what it used to be earlier.
Assurances that traffic is increasing on the site are just that...ASSURANCE ! We do not see any increase in traffic. Nor do we see any increase in sales. Promotion and EL fees are so high that it doesnt make business sense because there are no buyers.
There was a time when we clocked around 30 orders on an average per day. Probably that could have been called the GOLDEN ERA of Baazee. But now, since the time we have migrated to ebay.in, we do not even get 4-6 orders in a day, half of which are DD, and half of that do not get fulfilled. So at the end of the day, we see that we have sent just around 1-2 parcels.
Not to mention the problems with the rating system, where some buyers give a negative rating without any fault of the seller. And we cannot even ask for a review of the rating, nor can we edit the rating.
Not to mention the technical flaws that allows buyers to accept wrong delivery charges resulting in further loss. If we do not send the parcel, the buyers give a negative rating.
Not to mention the lackadaisical attitude of the eBay staff who do not even bother to answer our concerns.
Not to mention the cumbersome administration of the aftersale process. No proper track can be kept between the communication between the buyers and the sellers. Baazee was much better, as far as the site design and the overall administration was concerned.
Not to mention the messed up reports that can be downloaded. A report should be visually appealing and readable. But the report that can be downloaded now is just a mess-up. No email address of the buyers, and no phone numbers as well !!! I really miss our good old Baazee reports
Not to mention the fact that most features on ebay.in are charged. Almost NOTHING is free. Whenver something IS free, ebay.in beats its chest like a GORILLA shouting that IT IS FREE !!! Something being free is a rare commodity on ebay now.
Not to Mention that the overal complexity has made many buyers RUN AWAY to other sites which are more user friendly. This is clearly evident from the mails that some of my regular buyers have sent me. They say that they do not feel like coming to the site any longer.
Not to mention the new system of "Commit to buy" where the buyer commits to buy and can choose the payment method later. But most buyers who commit to buy never come back again to choose their payment method. What were you guys thinking when you implemented such an assinine feature ??
Not to mention that most sellers have stopped putting things up for auction because of the ridiculous bid increments...a major set back to the total revenues.
We have got kinda used to the ebay site. And we can say that managing baazee was a hell lot more easier compared to this.
Could you guys sitting in your plush ebay office in Mumbai answer some of these concerns ? Could you please tell us what positive things can we look forward to in the coming months ??
I am sure that with all this widespread dissatisfaction and drop in sales with all the sellers, even eBay is feeling the pinch. Even you must have noticed the stark fall in buyers coming to the site.
Just re-think about your policies. Because if corrective measures are not taken soon, both our existence would be in question.

I strongly support the thread by Abhishek Agarwal and I also think the same. Our Old Baazee was best. Now even we are using expensive special promotion and offering products at the most possible low rates..NO BUYERS AT ALL.
Since All the point of concern are said by Mr.Abhishek Agarwal,I just wanna ask Ebay..When We will get buyers.??
When we can expect sale like Baazee>?What is the efforts made to drive teaffic?Do you frame any policy which do support sellers or just giving suffering to sellers is your sole policy>?
I know that Ebya wont reply this..Coz when it is their mistake they wont reply you.
I know the fact But for the sake of try I am posting this message.
Just Wait and Watch.

3 other purchases got concluded with tremendous difficulties this month. Shopping this way is NO FUN AND A WASTE OF TIME.
Unless eBay does something to put their act together, you people who make a living from selling on the net will surely suffer. How sad when we think that we had an organisation working beautifully, called Baazee...

Over the last few weeks we have received feedback on drop in demand. We at eBay are well aware of this issue and working towards driving more buyers and bids.
Even though the number of people visiting the site has not changed, it seems that lesser number of people seem to be bidding. We have received a few recommendations from our community, on buyer promotions for eBay India users and are considering the ideas. We have already started our marketing promotions; for example - ‘Treasure Hunt’. There will be many more promotions in the coming months aimed at increasing the buyer activity on the site.
Please do provide us your inputs on what we should be doing to increase buying activity, by replying to this post on the following thread:
http://forums.ebay.in/thread.jspa?forumID=300000000&threadID=300000668.
Rest assured that we shall be taking note of all your feedback.
We shall continue to keep you posted about our promotional plans.
Regards,
Sunil Varhadkar

I am a new seller on ebay though i registered in bazee, istarted selling on ebay(after migration). But sales are not what i thought to be. I dont know how were the sales in baazee times, but reading from the feedback of the sellers i definately feel there has been a significant reduction in sales. One thing i think ebay should do is have better communication with the sellers. Ebay.com does that very beautifully they are in constant touch with the sellers, posting anouncements on daily basis, They are good in informing the community about the various updates which are coming on the site and the workshops they conduct, they keeep the community informed the steps they are taking to improve the site instead ebay india only posts that we have taken steps to improve traffic on the site. this is quite vague.
If ebay india atleats inform th sellers the steps ebay is taking(i m sure they are trying their best), the seller would have hope and be enthu about the future, and working with hope may make the diffrence for him and for ebay and everyone of us.
Thanx
Regards
Abhishek

Most Dealers would agree with me that the profit(when selling outside ebay) on 1 handset is not more than 100 -200 rs even if it's a high range handset. On ebay we sellers have to give 5% to bay +
3.5% to paisapay+ listing upgrades.
That means for a handset of Rs.10,000(Mrp for the market price) we spend Rs.500(ebay fees) +Rs.350(paisa pay fees)+ additionnal el fees= Rs.900(approx)
Now we dont even get this handset for Rs. 9000. now we have to increase its price lets say to Rs.11,200.
Why would a person buy a handset from ebay for Rs. 11,200 when it is sellingin the market for 10,000.
Thats why see there is no sale for new branded handsets on ebay, The ones which are sold are either second hand or grey market/smuggled/imported by a small dealer sets.
i feel ebay should identify such products and try to brinng the costs involved down. Ebay can start this by a one day promotion, just see by giving a final fees waiver for one day and see the results.

Abhishek

Thank you for your feedback regarding better communication of eBay with sellers. We have already started implementing most of the suggestions you have given us.
Regular Posting of Announcements:
We have a separate Announcement Board where we post important announcements likely to impact our users. You can access this board through the "News" Section in the Community Hub page (http://hub.ebay.in/community?ssPageName=h:h:over:IN), or through your My eBay. In My eBay, it is available within the "General eBay Announcements" Section.
You can also access this board with the following URL:
http://www2.ebay.com/aw/marketing-in.shtml
Workshop Schedule:
The Workshop Schedule for the month of May can be accessed from the "What's New" Section within the Community Hub Page. The first link in that section leads to the page where we have put up the Workshop Schedule. You can also access this page with the following URL:
http://pages.ebay.in/community/workshopcalendar/current.html
You must have noticed the "Information Central" section on the right hand side of every boards page. Within this section, there is a link to the next scheduled workshop. In this case, it is the PaisaPay workshop scheduled for the 6th of May at at 3:00 PM. We hope you will attend it.
Keeping our community informed is one of the key roles for the Community Development Team at eBay and we shall try our best to ensure that all of our users are aware of the key things we are doing.
