Hello eBay team,

I am facing a lot of problems with the Seller called "societi". I made the payment for an item (5015640559) on July-22nd and till date I have not received the watch. I also opened up a dispute at Dispute Console (http://feedback.ebay.in/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ResolveDispute&DisputeID=64066541) but invain.

No one has been able to HELP me and more over the Seller is NOT AT ALL replying to my mails for long.

I kindly BEG you to help me in this matter as this causing me a mental breakdown with a fear of loosing my money to the seller at eBay.

Please please HELP ME!

Thanks a lot for your kind advice. I have lodged a complaint against eBay and the seller "societi" with the Cyber Crime Cell of Hyderabad city.

Hi Anand,

I am very much happy that not only you lodged a complaint in Cyber Crime cell but you have also shown the path to other cheated customers by providing the details of Cyber Crime Cells of different Metros & their contact nos as well as all details a person needs to go ahead. I didn't presume that you will act so smartly & quickly. CONGRATULATIOS, GOOD WORK DONE.:-D

I am sorry that I could not reply earlier becoz I did not access the net for sometime as it was appeared to be boring & wastage of time when I was cheated by two sellers & lost my money & Ebay people didn,t do anything in favour of me or against the seller who cheated me & many others. You can see my ratings, I have a single negative feedback, which was given by an unhonest seller & is now unregistered on ebay. I was again cheated by the seller e_shopee who carried out buisness by different IDs e.g. e_shopee & i_shopee in September & both IDs are suspended now. The Seller SANDEEP KUMAR cheated so many buyers using ebay platform & I know that ebay people will ask one day to clse the dispute & will do nothing & will say it was a low value item , so wecan't help you. This seller had also cheated the buyers on OLD Baazee also. I have his home address , Tel no. , & other informations & certainly lodge a complaint against him in his home city Hyderabad through email, BUT THESE EBAY PEOPLE CAN'T DO ANYTHING AGAINST THIS SELLER despite of having all the details of this seller.They only will do buisness, make money from sellers, & will be happy to see their buyers being cheated on their site.
I have lost interest in this site & therefore closed my all biddings & shopping on ebay. There are several other sites where you can get better deal, honest customer protection & I am happy with the response of other shopping sites & will suggest the same to you to shop on other honest sites. They are indiatimes, rediff etc.

Hi Anand,

Thanks for the Cyber Crime Cell details. I shall surely inform them about invogue-inc3, who had cheated me. This seller has recd 63 -ve and 46 neutrals in just last month. Because he makes a condition of withdrawing feedbacks for refund, so there are 96 withdrawls. Surprising that ebay doesnt bother to look at those sufferings despite my repeated intimation.

I was also forced to withdraw my -ve feedback to get back my refund. They list a Pearl of 4ct mentioning it as of very superior quality and market price of Rs.800/-. For this item they sent me a Shell Pearl worth less than Rs.1/-, that too cracked. To get my refund I had to spend more than 50/- to return the Rs.1/- item. Forget about the time lost and distress.

You can still find this listing after my repeated intimation to ebay and putting the matter on this discussion board several times.

I know another user rmitraindia who was also cheated by this seller. Most interesting is that when after paying by cheque and receiving the item he put -ve feedback because it was a 20/- item, invogue replied as NON-PAYING BIDDER. Such a cheater is this seller and more disgusting, so supportive is ebay to frauds like those.

Dont understand how blind is ebay who cant trace a seller with so many -ve feedbacks and mutual withdrawls of a seller.

Hi All,

Nothing has turned up good for me since I opened a dispute with the ebay team. I reported the same to cyber crime cell but still no reply from them.

I am still waiting for SINGLE person from ebay to contact me and talk to me.

Alok & all you guys, keep this fight on here. Its our right to information and we need to make sure that ebay behaves like a good INDIAN!!!

Don't worry. I am with you alongwith the persons like u & me e.g. Mr Swarup & Dr Shamim, who have been cheated by the sellers. We will drive in with full force. Donm't loose heart, when the Cyber Crime Cell will be flooded with complaints, they will wake up. All you have to do that simply Cut & Paste the informations & details of Cyber Crime Cells you provide earlier in all new postings so that each & everybody who comes in community can note it & act accordingly as & when he feel cheated.

Remember, we will fight till end.

Hi all,

I did not know Mr. Dutta still had a problem with the transaction, and that he has put up this message, as I would have replied long back. We would like to assure everyone that we are genuine sellers and the biggest proof of this fact is that we have sold over 2000 items and received OVER 550 POSITIVE FEEDBACKS in the past one month. I understand this is the HIGHEST ON EBAY INDIA BY A BIG MARGIN. We have sold over 2000 items in the past one month and have received 59 negative feedbacks, due to varied reasons including buyers who live in remote villages where no courier is ready to deliver.

Our genuinity is also proven by the fact that we refunded the full amount paid by Mr. Dutta once we came to know that the item really had a problem, which we did not notice at the time of purchase. Also, we have never forced Mr. Dutta or any other buyer to withdraw the feedback. We only request the buyer to withdraw it as most of the times the feedback is given without contacting us about the problem. Its almost as if you buy a shirt of size 40 from the showroom near your home, you go home and check it out, it does not fit you as the size mentioned is wrong. Its printed size 40, but it actually is 42.

So do you go around painting the town red and telling each and every person you see, that never buy from that showroom as they give wrong sizes!!! Or do you just coolly go to the showroom and tell them to replace it as you understand that it is a genuine mistake by an employee of the shop. And infact, you might even recommend the shop to others if the shopkeeper deals nicely with you and accept the mistake.

The negative feedback system of eBay is something like almost like painting the negative feedback in front of a shop, never to be removed. Even though the seller does everything possible to satisfy the buyer, the negative feedback stays there forever. I have many buyers who have bought items from me even after giving me a -ve feedback for the first order. This just proves that we are committed to buyer satisfaction.

Infact I have just called Mr. Dutta some time back, and I have explained my position on this. He has understood my position and has even told me that he will write about our discussion in this thread. I hope this assures all concerned people, buyers as well as eBay, that we are committed and here for long term.

I have pasted below is the reply by Mr. Dutta on the main thread for this dispute.The reply was given just after I called Mr. Dutta explaining my position. He is a very good genuine buyer who can fight for his rights, and these are exactly how buyers on eBay should be. Buyers should never be cheated in any way, but I would suggest that the buyers should always contact the seller before assuming that they have been cheated, as most of the time it is just a small genuine mistake on the seller's end which he is ready to resolve. I wish Mr. Dutta and all other genuine buyer all the best and I am sure with buyers like you, fraud sellers will not be able to ply their trade on ebay.

Little before I recd a call (STD) from Mr. Himangshu of invogue-inc3 regarding my posting on this discussion board about my bad experience and the considerable โ€“ve feedbacks recd by him. As he has contacted me by phone (STD) for this posting so I think its my duty to tell everybody that this sellers cares about the discussion board and has the intention to explain his points.

For my case he mentioned that there had been some problems with his supplier of Pearls for which I recd the Shell Pearl instead of a real one. The reason is not so impressive but I must acknowledge that he cares to call a dissatisfied buyer. He assured me that they will try their best to stop such mistakes in future. He also assured to modify the specific Pearl listing creating the problem.
Hope he will take up the matter of other dissatisfied buyers similarly and thus reduce the amount of โ€“ve feedbacks recd by him.

Hi there,

Its Vijay and I have a smiliar situation with SoniINDIA . I ordered two watchs and duely paied thru online transaction too, but I recived only one watch and have mailed this guy with no reply from his end, have tried to contact this guy over the phone, but he never picks up, now his phone number is out of service too, he has not replied to my dispute either...

I would like to in form you that such type of bad tactics like threatening on my personal email address by you people to suspend my account/terminate my membership will be of no result. I will continue what I am doing till the justice is made. Don't even try to do so as there are several loopholes in your system by which I will again enter in your community & continue what i am doing , which was to be done by your organization.

So don't try to be oversmart & forget to threaten your genuine buyers. These are the buyers have made you to this position that inspite of solving problems, you are daring to threaten your genuine & honest customers.

BEWARE,to do so. I will fight against your system until the end of customer harassment.

I strongly condemn this act of you, COWARDS.
