The policy stated "eBay will levy a penalty to all sellers whose PaisaPay refund rate (Auto refund + Seller initiated refund) is greater than 2% of PaisaPay transaction. This penalty will be up to Rs. 250 or 4% of PaisaPay amount whichever is higher for all refunds greater than 2%. This amount will be then sent to the buyer in form of a coupon."
Firstly, HOW is refunding a dissatisfied customer causing a bad buying experience?.....many of my buyers who received immediate refunds, happily gave me positive feedback SPECIFICALLY mentioning that I am a safe seller because I happily refund when they buy by mistake or they do not want the item.
In fact many sellers are liberal with their refund policy to make ebay a SAFER place for buyers......and now honest sellers are going to be penalised for being Honest & friendly & giving buyers MORE incentive to buy on ebay with a SAFE 100% SECURE refunds & returns policy?
I am confused....so what should sellers do now?.....cheat buyers ?.....this is so sad....somebody please note this !! 😞

I got a buyer who mention very short address.He just mention his address as POWERGRID 132kV Badarpur-788806.that its
I call him he say dont ship i dont want the item.
so in this case we will have refund the amount but this buyer is too smart
He brought one more small value item again from my shop
Now if we ship the item through register post as this place no courier wud go.and register post is not traceable and also the address is also short...so we are still at a loss
Now in this case what shall a seller do

Even some buyers went for holiday after ordering , when packet came back to us m they said please refund the amount.
Similarly some whose address and contact numbers were not reachable.
Once a seller ships with the details , seller cannot be put at fault.

It is so good for OUR (ebay + sellers) own reputation, ebay is not at full loss here because we sellers have to refund Shipping costs also, so that is a already a loss for US. Ebay refunds to buyer after cutting PaisaPay fees, so that is already an income for ebay & loss for the buyer.
Now, we have sellers have to lose shipping fees, ebay FVF & also pay a penalty simply because we want customers to still love EBAY.IN !!!
It is good to penalize sellers who create bad seller experience by NOT refunding customers & FORCING them to keep items they don't want - that is good for ebay & also HONEST sellers.
This rule is just OPPOSITE !!

Recently I have approved 2 refunds as I sent through DTDC and then said they need 4-5 days to investigate why its not yet delivered. Due to which I said paisa pay to refund the money. Now I got information that customer who placed order is left that job and after leaving that job customer raised refund stating product not received. Now in such cases what is sellers mistake?

We have seen two shocking refunds getting issued to buyer today by ebay when we have already provided the required information to keep them on hold. Here are the details i.e.
1. PaisaPay ID 27831770444. (KMM40962353V50213L0KM)
We sent POD to ebay paisapaypod@ebay.com on 4th day (4.12.2010) after refund request initiated. The product was delivered to buyer through DTDC courier via AWB no. Z25014671.
Today, on 6.12.2010 we got the mail from eBay that refund has been approved without any any of our prior consent.
Later, we got another email in reply to our earlier email on 4.12.2010 that refund is put on hold.
Now, we do not know that which mail to believe till we can verify the same with next remittance.
2. Refund for ( eBay Guarantee Claim No 37184 )
We mailed to ebay 20 days ago that kindly ask the buyer to refund the product back to us so that we can issue the money refund. We agreed for money refund even when we do not have money back policy in our eBay listing.
Last week a lady from ebay called us and we again intimated the same status to her. She said that will communicate the same to the buyer.
Thereafter, we saw in today's remittance that payment has been deducted from our account towards same claim without any prior of our consent in this regard.
Now the buyer has got both the product and money refund.
Will eBay look into the matter and provide the justice so as to keep our faith alive in EXTENDED seller protection policy?

i dont know why so many refunds are being proactively approved by ebay.
even my refund requests were approved before paisapay timeline of 7days without our consent.
shall we discourage paisa pay in our listings and offer lucrative offers&discounts to buyers who pay via cheque,dd,net banking etc

And now there are other sites emerging, so the gates are opening as other alternatves, so specially for power sellers and super sellers can easily shift to sites like : indiatimes, rediff, indiamart.
I have also faced refund even when the buyer has rcvd the item, used it and make it unusable and then conveying that the item is not working and he wants to return it back.
The refund is being processed, and i dont get the item back too..... where the seller resolution center ... ebay is becoming more n more buyer biased and revenue generation for themselves
