Why are Honest Sellers being penalized for Refunding ? :(

On 5th of October we had announced a change in PaisaPay policy to penalise sellers who were creating bad buyer experience by refunding the money to buyers.

The policy stated "eBay will levy a penalty to all sellers whose PaisaPay refund rate (Auto refund + Seller initiated refund) is greater than 2% of PaisaPay transaction. This penalty will be up to Rs. 250 or 4% of PaisaPay amount whichever is higher for all refunds greater than 2%. This amount will be then sent to the buyer in form of a coupon."



Firstly, HOW is refunding a dissatisfied customer causing a bad buying experience?.....many of my buyers who received immediate refunds, happily gave me positive feedback SPECIFICALLY mentioning that I am a safe seller because I happily refund when they buy by mistake or they do not want the item.

In fact many sellers are liberal with their refund policy to make ebay a SAFER place for buyers......and now honest sellers are going to be penalised for being Honest & friendly & giving buyers MORE incentive to buy on ebay with a SAFE 100% SECURE refunds & returns policy?

I am confused....so what should sellers do now?.....cheat buyers ?.....this is so sad....somebody please note this !! 😞

I simply going to cutoff with paisapay account, becoz I don't agree these policies anymore, I defnetly not going to sell anything with paisapay anymore, but I try to give some discount and extra proof of my identities etc to the interested buyer so he can make the payment as NEFT or Bank Deposite with out a doubt.

PAISAPAY is becoming a mess nowadays with oneside policies againest sellers. I have no complaints about ebay buying or listing&selling departments.

The way these paisapay guys behaving is distroying the entire ebay. GOD BLESS EBAY.

But we NEED paisapay, otherwise it will be so difficult (not impossible though) to track payments.

I am confident, this issue can be set right with strong will from both sides.

I have processed 2 refunds in November and now I am worried about what "penalty" Ebay is going to impose on me...if any that is...

I still dont understand why a safe and simple thing like refund has to attract penalty??

This is a serious issue I have had several refunds in the month of november which I do to satisfy customers and I will be penalized for it.. greatt....
one particular incident where blazeflash courier is saying that the item is delivered and the buyer is saying that he has not received the item and refund was initiated and the ebay team sanctioned this refund as i was not able to provide POD in 4 days now and on top of it I have my first negative feedback from that buyer.. now what can we do in this kind of situation.. EBAY should be awarding POWER BUYER programs as buyers are more powerful than sellers.
