Changes in eBay Fees: Post discussions with our key sellers across categories and after understanding the commercial dynamics of the ‘supply-chain’ in various product categories, we have made changes to the eBay.in fee structure and these can be viewed on the announcement board.

These policies are in place to help make eBay a more robust and healthy marketplace. The aim is not just to protect the interest of buyers, but other sellers as well, as the policies help correct sellers who might end up giving bad experience to buyers on the site, and therefore affecting the business for other sellers.

As mentioned earlier, we have kept the pricing same in price sensitive categories.

Also, Video Games, which is the category which you mostly sell in, has been left unchanged.
Every seller who comes on eBay is important to us, and we always try to keep the overall benefit of the seller community in mind.

Pricing in categories such as Home Décor & Furnishings, where shipping costs and efforts are definitely high, have been kept constant.

We have revised the PaisaPay ensuring that our sellers are left with sufficient margins.

There is no monetary penalty imposed on sellers for issues related to account blocking.

Card processing fees charged by payment gateway companies have gone up recently for online industry. In addition to the Payment gateway charges, other cost components such as operating costs, seller protection costs and investments in technology too have gone up in last few years. We have not changed PaisaPay price in last few years despite the year-on-year increase in operating costs. We also made significant investment in technology costs in order to expand the payment options available on eBay India in October last year. After the recent increase by the payment gateway company we had to increase the PaisaPay pricing.

The cost of managing PaisaPay is not just about Payment gateway charges, but includes many other cost components such as Operating costs, Chargeback risk provisions, Seller protection costs, Continuous investments in product upgradation etc.

Many of our sellers often tell us that even if one were to add up all the costs of selling on eBay (PaisaPay included), for the significantly higher quantum of traffic that eBay generates, it is a far better value proposition for a business as compared to many other avenues available online

Any increase in Paisapay fees which is already very high will reduce the sales on ebay, Credit card transactions with minimum paper work now a days is available at 2% + taxes in open market, with ebay's own payment gateway this fees should be reduced and not increased. I don't think this is right way for ebay to earn by increasing unjustified fees.

Final value fees is also very high for most of categories, adding paisapay fees already makes most of the categories unviable to sell on ebay. Buyers will run towards the other sites as we have to increase price of items accordingly. 10% overall fees is very high with listings fees added the price of most of items will be increased and unviable to sell on ebay.

Definitely the Listing fees CAP should be reworked...4000/- for premium store is good enough, why charge Rs.0.25 / listing...

It is kind of I am spending few extra bucks for marketing and widening payment gateways. And why not? I appeal to other sellers to show patience. We shall overcome.
But you got me wrong.
