Dear All,
I have received negative feedback from a buyer zozo2007-2007 only because I closed the unpaid item dispute after a wait for about 45 days. The item details are given below:

The buyer is from France and overseas buyers can only make payment through PaisaPay /or PayPal, both of them can be traced easily by ebay as these payment gateways are of ebay only. But inpite of several reminders and emails and messages the buyer did not made the payment.
Now yesterday night I have filed for Final Value Fee Credit because I can not wait after 45 days as per ebay rules, the buyer immediately returns me negative feedback with comments - money sent. postal problem ? it's not because of me. i paid and I have a negativ
Now everyone knows that sellers can not leave negative feedback but the buyer says that he received negative.
Again he says now that he has sent the payment by post ???? How he can send the payment to India ? in France currency or in Indian currency or by DD ???
Everyone except eBay can understand his intentions but I am have no other way except to hope that ebay staff may understand the matter and will remove this feedback.???

Now, I suggest ebay to try these alternative and make changes to the present selling pattern :

Sellers should ship the items to the buyers after receiving order (not Payment) from them.

Then if the item will be delivered safely within 48 hours or 72 hours, the buyers can make the payment, otherwise they can purchase the item from some other seller/source.

The buyers can also opt for non payment and the seller may open the non-payment dispute against the buyer and if the item is not as per buyers hopes, they can choose to keep the product as well as free without any worries for money.

Sellers can only get the Final Value Fee Credit if the buyer do not accepts the parcel and was returned back or in case the buyer is honest and genuine he returns back the product -(yes on Freight To Pay by seller only).

Automatic Negative Feedback will be given to Sellers, if they will not ship the items within 24 hours of receiving order.


I will try to incorporate many more suggetions for ebay for buyer safe environment on ebay site.
For sellers I can only condemn and they should also be prepared to pack their shops and try to run away asap.

I fully disagree with present ebay feedback policy. Now it is very easy to blackmail a seller without any fault of him. I suggest the following :
1. Ebay should not allow the buyer to left the feedback if he has not paid for the item.
2. A seller should be allowed to leave negative feedback to the faulty buyer.
3. As ebay has given the reason to withdraw this right from sellers that the new buyer fears from negative feedback and will not return to ebay to buy again. But what about the non genuine, fraud buyers? How the sellers will identify any new buyer is just a fraud buyer? And why the ebay has given the right to a non paying buyer to rate a seller? See, some buyers say me to reduce the price of a item, after buying from the ebay listing. Since this is not possible so they may reply same as in your case- negative feedback in reply to an unpaid item strike.
4. A seller should have right to rate a buyer.
5. Incase any feedback misuse, ebay should mediate and should take moral responsibility to protect the reputation of a person- buyer or seller, who has been wrongly rated either by mistake or anyway.
This is the best way to satisfy both- buyer and seller.

You know sometimes, even the buyer rates a seller negative by the comments like, delayed by courier, bill not provided, had to pick up the item from the courier office, warranty card not provided ( while bill mentions the warranty and most of the computer items comes wothout warranty card )
In all above cases, the seller is not at fault at all but his feedback is reduced to which clearly he does not deserve.

It is moral responsibility of ebay to protect such innocent members but I am unable to understand why ebay is running away from it moral responsibility?

Every time ebay changes the policy that is generally against sellers in the name to protect the buyers. But the result everytime is reduced sale but increased ebay profit.

I do not know how long it will take to place a policy that is fair for all !

Dear Ebayers,

These type of TUGHALAKI Decisions Must have been taken by a Group who are applying their concerted efforts to RUIN Ebay and Sellers gradually. Once SELLERS run away from Ebay, it will be impossible for them to bring back. There must be some scandalous efforts behind the scene working.

May God give enough strength to Sellers to Carry all these tensions.

I agree with all my fellow sellers.
My question to the ebay trust and saftey team is
WHY IS THIS POLICY BEING IMPLEMENTED?
Only for buyer's satisfaction. But what about sellers hard work.Slowly and steadily such policies would lead to some sellers closing their shop and go.

Merely because of the reason that ebay would soon become an only buyer's place. Buyers have started threatening the sellers as now they have become the KING.
I also think that a non paying buyer should not be able to give a feedback to a seller.

I do not really know where ebay is heading towards??

Dear sellers,

I too have suffered due to this feedback policy due to a buyer's leaving me a negative just because of a courier delay and he said item wasn't received. All other buyers speak very positively about me. Am sad that many other satisfied buyers who confirmed they were happy with their products never left any feedback. I noticed over the last year that around 40% of buyer leave no feedback whatsoever. And among the few who do there are some few black sheep who just want to make the seller suffer.

I suggest that if eBay doesn't listen to us, we all decide to shut our shops on eBay indefinitely till eBay listens to us. The only way to make large corporations listen to small sellers like us is by stopping the flow of money to them. We should communicate to eBay before this drastic step, but in case they don't listen within a month we should start this strike. Kindly pass on this info to all sellers you know on eBay.
