Defective Item Sale

I had put up one Motherboard which was defective for sale. I had mentioned in my description that item is defective and non functional. One of buyer bought without reading the description and now he is saying that I have cheated him and done fraud. The only mistake I did that i had put similar model picture with my listing.

As Seller am I Fraud.

Why did buyer pay me when before sending invoice I told him about the condition of the product. That it is dead piece. He could have canceled the deal. I could have re-listed with modification. And why is there is fuss now. This still a cheating when seller from his side is telling the buyer the truth about the product on phone.

I think it is buyer fault. Please reply

i cant believe anyone will buy a dead motherboard if u told him as u are saying, most probably he couldn't understand what u were trying to say at that time, or some other misunderstanding.

personally i think fraud seller wont come in forums and try to justify himself.

We see that this is an example wherein we would like to look at revising our "Item Description" policy to make it mandatory for sellers listing such items to explicitly call out the malfunctioning/defects of their items if any.

This would help avoid any bad buyer experiences resulting out of such discrepancies.

Yes I agree and welcome the change. But Even buyer should be stoped by force at gun point not to purchase any defective items from ebay
