fakest policies for seller getting payment if delevered on time

I have a issue on delevered policies of ebay
.this is only for buyiers protection not a single percent for sellers .
i sold a product on ebay few days back torch @ 1100 inr
i was shiped product as i get confermation of receaving payment
few days after i get mail from ebay of not receaved parcel to buyier n payment refunded to him

even buyer was not taken facility of insurence of parcel
n till yet courier company unable to provide status
of parcel

i have to kno what is my fault in this case ?
n who pay in future if this happen again ?
n how much we feel safe seling with ebay

1. Deal with reputed courier companies who can be trusted with high value shipments (Worth >Rs 500). We have had theft loss in couriers like DTDC also. So better trust Bluedart, Aramex, TNT, etc.

2. Although we can charge insurance for loss in transit extra it is recommended that you take whatever money comes in as Insurance amt as bonus. You need not insure parcels if shipped by reputed couriers.
