(1)What will happen in case of a non-delivery due to wrong address or consignee not available? Shall we need to pay for the return charges also and the transaction will be cancelled? Will ebay take the responsibility for both way shipping charges?

If the buyers address is incorrect or there is a PIN code mismatch, request the buyer to get in touch with eBay India’s Customer Service or send an email to inlogistics@ebay.com. In case return is imperative, returns charges will be taken care as part of PowerShip program. Seller however, may need to pay the return Octroi charges in case applicable.

(2) After registering for the powership program, naturally we shall not be able to send through our existing accounts with the couriers. In that case the couriers will not accept the same rates, which they are charging now, when we have to send replacements to the customers. So, we shall need to pay much higher charges for those occasional packets. Has ebay made any arrangement for sending other packets also through powership ?

Only items sold on eBay can be shipped through PowerShip and eBay assigned Logistics Service Provider. If a replacement has to be sent to the buyer or a missing accessory that was not sent in the initial package, these shipments will need to be handled outside PowerShip.

(3) Is there any arrangement for requesting a pickup from the customer ?

Returns from Buyers are not supported by PowerShip. Only returns processed as a part of eBay Guarantee program are accepted.

Please see a reply to your questions.

1) 1st there is no 250gm slot which is foolishness on part of ebay not to have it, this is just one way to make money by ebay.

250 gms slot is generally available only for sending documents / papers and not for items, which is precisely the reason it is not offered on PowerShip. We are discussed the possibility of 250 gms accommodating some of the items like screen guard, etc. However, this again may not taken even small items like Pen drives.

2) 2nd is the sales invoice to be given in triplicate, who will print out 25-50 pages extra per day and bear the printing cost?.


Documentations required by LSPs are for clearing items and connect them to destination on priority. LSPs are committed to deliver the goods in least amount of time and good documentation will help you in the process of delighting the buyers experience.

3) 3rd the LSP need a VAT paid invoice for every item sent, how many sellers on ebay have a VAT invoice ???.

Selling is a serious business and we encourage sellers to comply with state requirements related to VAT and Taxes.

4) 4th, the LSP will now ask for entry forms for every state in India, who will give those forms and how many states are there without any sort of entry forms, 5-6 only.

Rightly said, some states require specific forms to be filled in and submitted by the consignor or consignee. These are state specific requirements and not something LSP or eBay can influence.

Please let us know about Aramex and DTDC what has happened and when will they start their services with ebay if at all they will.

1.We are already looking the transaction that you reported of having sent through FedEx but not showing tracable yet. Let us know if there is any other issue that you are facing
2.Sorry to hear that you were not called back. We have a note of this and you will hear from your Account Manager
3.PowerShip enablement is on account level and hence there is no specific messaging on Sell Your Item form. There is no messaging to Buyers on PowerShip and the Shipping charges are to be revised by sellers in case you want to edit it.
4.Thanks for sharing, will be great if you can share your experience on this in detail.
5.PowerShip is enabled for cities basis the PIN code serviceability

Sellers will receive call for pickup confirmation from LSPs post PowerShip enrollment. Those who do not enroll for the program will not receive the call or a pickup, unless it's a existing relationship the seller may have.
