This is regarding an issue I had been facing for last 2 yrs I had been associated with ebay. Initially there was a listing which I had to put in Daily Deal was having video which an ebay account manager confirmed that you can list video but it has to be from a photobucket account & later Trust n safety Team (TNS) removed it being a policy violation even after several mails it was of no use talking to anyone.
After that I found a solution to insert GIF (graphics interchange format) files which are basic pic files but with kind of moving pictures with no sound which are Picture files & I had got a confirmation from ebay TNS through a proper mail which he confirmed I can list with gif files.
After 5 months again they objected on the gif which I had to forward the TNS mail & it was confirmed that I can list the GIF files on ebay. Then again this happened last month again another of my account manager by the email id sindrakumar@ebay.com I forwarded him the mail still after mail he was not in a position to list a item with GIF files which he doesn’t even had a basic knowledge of the HTML codes. Which he objected on even the marquee keyword used in the listings which used to move the picture on the page to & fro. There is no one in your department who is atleast knowledgable enough about the rules & regulations.
After that hopefully I had sent a mail to TNS again to reconfirm if there is some change in policy (I had even given a link to my listing showing the use og GIF files) still again I got the reply from Mr. Ranjith that I can list the items with GIF formats. So I had forwarded the mail to the all the concerned where I told that atleast the staff should be informed about the rules & regulations. This I think happened to be an insult for Mr. Sindra Kumar which he had an interaction with the TNS team to crack down on this.
This person from TNS Mr. Amit called me up that GIF’s are not allowed in the listings & when I said only a week back I got a mail that it is allowed how can you say that & I informed him to confirm from someone else as it was again the case of short information. Which he said I had to remove the listing so I told him that I don’t mind removing the GIF files from the listing but It will take a week as I am out of station at my hometown as there was this holiday of 15th august & I had taken a week rest from my job so I will be able to do the changes after I reach back office. Also I asked him that I need a confirmation mail from the same person in ebay TNS Mr. Ranjith that “mail was wrongfully sent & as a correction that gifs are not allowed in listings”. But he didn’t listened to it & sent me a mail from his own name asking for a removal of listing on 15th august I again replied him from my mail on mobile that kindly get this confirmed from Mr. Ranjith as you could not be having full information but there was listening & the listing was removed with a policy violation
I need to know where I was wrong
I know that there is never proper replies given by ebay & everyone staff of yours is here to earn money. I had seen ebay TNS helping sellers of Mumbai origin as there is some bribe part involved in this process. I don’t want to name the person but I got a call from personal mobile phone of one of your staff asking for money on Loan. There has been cases I had been hearing from my relatives & friends where they had given money to your ebay executives for safeguarding their accounts for negative feedbacks which they are helping against buyer. Believe me If this is the case how much do you charge for removing the policy violation.
Please give me complete answers to my questions
1. why your staff is never properly informed about the Terms & Conditions
2. Show me your Terms & Conditions where It is written I cant list a GIF format files & please don’t show me video violation as this is not video you can search this on GOOGLE
3. Once I got a mail from ebay confirming the use of GIF why I got a call after only one week for removing it aren’t you communicative enough between the same department
4. why Mr. Amit was not in a position to get me a mail from Mr. Ranjith (According to me it was a mutual understanding between amit & Sindra for taking care of his insult due to my mail of lack of information between staff)
5. once I informed I am out of station why I was not given time to remove the gif from the files as although it was not my fault as I had a mail from TNS for confirmation
Believe me I am going to Consumer Court for this. I am waiting for your reply & I am having all the mails which are enough proof for winning the case.
It’s a monopoly for ebay India till now let Amazon come to INDIA lets see how long you can survive
I also know of a fact that after this mail I wont be able to Survive my account on ebay but I am not scared of that
