Please please please stop selling these chinese so called, multi feature mp3 mp4 players.
they are nothing but a headache. they fool people with wrong memory and capacity information for example, it may show 1 GB but will be a few hundred mB actually.

I got totally fooled by buying one such.

i would suggest people to be very wary of buying these.

I bought 1 of these players, although it does not play mp4 format video's, i was aware of this before buying, and am still happy with my purchase, it is 1GB, actual memory of 956meg which I am not too bothered about, it cannot only be a a couple of hundered MB in size, as I have had 2 full films (about 300MB each) and about 50 songs also on it at the same time. I understand there may be widespread problems with these players, but you cannot tar them all with the same brush.

I fully agree with molu.diwanji. There are sellers who are taking benefits of inncoent buyers and are fooling them...infact I was cheated too when i realized that the 2 GB player is infact 474 MB...such product shd be banned from EBAY...I hope someone is listening.

Regarding Chinese MP3/MP4 Player, I want to say something - as I am also dealing with such product for a long time without a single desatisfied customer. As all of them know well about the product what they are going to purchase before confirming the deal, from the product specification.

I think there is nothing wrong, if any seller mentioned its Physical Memory in product specification as I did.

Now I have seen most of the sellers are doing the same. They are mentioning Actual Memory (50% or 25% even 12.5%). Still it is 2/3 fold cheaper than branded Player.

The term Fake would be applicable if anyone sold the same as -Sony Make- or didnot mention its physical memory.

Yes, if seller deny any responsibility when it does not have all mentioned main features, then buyer can obviously blame the seller. And seller is bound to replace/refund money.

I had make a thorough study on these product and then I have started selling these product as these are no doubt value for money.

It is not easy for every MP3/MP4 Player lover to invest Rs. 9000/- + for 1 GB capacity. Only such Chinese Player can fulfil their dream. Similar capacity MP4 Player is cost only Rs. 3000/-. eBay is providing both, now it is upto a buyer wheather he/she is ready to invest where - at Rs. 9000/- (Branded) or at Rs. 3000/- (unbranded Chinese).

At the same time it is also not correct to compare both.

So overall I can say Original Chinese Products are most of the time valued for money.

Its my advice to all buyer of eBay, please clarify your doubts from seller before making purchase of any product to avoid any misunderstanding after dealing with the seller. Read the others remarks from the seller feedback. I am sure that will be a happy deal.

I have been thinking of importing these MP3 / MP4 products for sale on ebay since the duty was reduced in the last budget.

However whenever I check prices on ebay, I switch off my decission. I as a seller cannot declare fake capacity in my players and hence cannot think of competing with these sellers of such non genuine products.

There are many good products available in factories in China but where in case of a marketplace like ebaY where buyers buys only the cheapest product, it becomes very difficult to sell quality products with genuine claims.

The end result is that so many customers are unhappy with their purchases and do not come back to the site and this is a loss of for all sellers concerned.

I would just like to ask my friend skyshopindia that if he is very confident about the quality of his products why is he only offering a 14 days warranty and why not a 6 months or a 1 year warranty which is the norm in the offline marketplace. I would not find any reputed store like Big Baazar or Vijay Sales selling any product with a mere 14 days warranty.

ebaY should take some positive steps to stop such blatant false listings. Its been some 12 months since this issue has been raised in this and other forums but sadly no action has been taken. It seems ebay is only interested in its fees, fair trading can take a backseat.

Yes, I am confident about its quality as per price.

I have seen similar product is being sold at Big Baazar, but not at the price what is being available at eBay(I am not talking about the fake one).

If the same product is being sold at Big Baazar, or Vijay Sales or at any offline market place, it doesnot means, its quality has improved there. They are providing warranty(limited) at buyer cost not at their own cost.

When I had purchase one HP product, there was one option -that is, if I pay Rs. 10000/- more, company will increase its warranty(service) further one year.

Meaning is same avail warranty at your own cost.

So the similar option should be incorporated in eBay, like shipping insurance rather than criticizing in such a way.
I do not have any problem to provide 6 months or 1 yr warranty, if I get some extra money(it may be 10% or 15% of the product price).

I can say eBay is more safer than offline market place, here buyers has option to threat a seller by means of -ve feedback, SNAD disputes etc. etc. at least upto three months. And all reputed sellers are very alert about such threating as Mr. Sharat and his team always ready with Sword in favour of buyers. I have experience in offline market of such product, how customers get harrashed even within warranty period also. Until there is no problem, customers are very happy with baazar.

Any electronics product being sold in the offline market has a minimum warranty of 6 months or 1 year at no extra cost.

We are not talking about extended warranties.

Since you are not confident about the products sold, you only offer a 14 days warranty.

Item Description -

If only 512 MB is the real memory and if you can store only upto 512 MB memory, isn't calling the player 1 GB a blatant fraud and cheating?
