I am a new ebay seller. I put my sarees on bidding just to see if there are any bidders who would bid my rate. the problem is ebay starts the bid from re.1/- which lands the bidder to quote very low, not even half the amount quoted by us. this has to be rectified. the bid should start atleast from half rate of the rate quoted by the seller, only then bidder would be able to quote a better rate and we can see if the rate suits us, we can sell. kindly look into the matter and do the needful. now ebay says my products have been sold for so and so rates, which i am not shipping because the rate is not even near to my quoted rate.

From what you have said, it seems that you are not aware that you can actually decide on start price. It is not necessary that auction starts at Rs.1 only. In 'Sell Your Item form' you can select starting price. For example, if you set a starting price of Rs.99, the first bid must be at least Rs.99.
