I see that many sellers like Raj Jee, Prince Jee, Mustafa Jee to name a few trying to help community members with whatever best they can in whatever little time they have to spare. I also see buyers like Bhushan Jee giving insights and help to fellow buyer's in need.
What I am shocked to notice is the involvement of eBay staff in these discussions. "ZERO", any fellow member who is following these discussions religiously will know what I mean, This week I remember seeing only one sigle post from an eBay Pink on one of the thread, that too had no substance in it.
eBay is trying to be ultra active on the facebook fan page. But what about it's own backyard. I posted a suggestion yesterday on eBay fan page in facebook. I got a thankyou message and a reply within hours.. But gloom and silence prevails in the community boards with no one on eBay to listen to problem, clear doubts or say at least express solidarity..
Its is much better to shut down community board and directly link this thing with your facebook profile if eBay has lost confidence on its own community and its own members.
Please voice your opinion on this!

Ebay is bent more towards marketing.
But isnt basically ebay a community?
They have done away with ebay blog to start with. Probably ebay concept is changing.
It is painful.

Unfortunately, eBay community board has become a complaint ground only and there is hardly any intelligent discussion on the board. Earlier this board was full of important guidelines on how to sell on eBay and other interesting subjects but recently, it has become a place where eBay users spill anger against eBay. The freshness has almost gone with the same kind of issues - Seller cheated me , eBay cheated me, eBay is this and eBay is that...

I just found a Job Ad posted by eBay India on LinkedIn. I am not sure whether I should post this external link here.
Google "linkedin ebay india" without the inverted comas and click on the top result which says "Ebay India Jobs | Linkedin".
Job Description > Primary Job Responsibilities > โข Manage communications and expectations with internal stakeholders and eBay community of buyers and sellers
So, I guess eBay India has not forgotten the Community.

Sir, any forum/blog is for people to lent out what they have been through. complaints/anger is certainly part of it.
@linus
Sunil bhai, eBay staff has no time to watch this useless forum. they always see some one whining about one issue or the other, which they are unable to fix. however, facebook is not more than a marketing act. so they have to appear good on it.
@Amitava Sir,
eBay concept is not changing, its dying. I really like and I am a big fan of good old eBay. Please give us our good old eBay back. this is not what we want. buy genuine mobiles at unbeatable price.

I love ebay community. It means a lot to me. This is besides the big money which is coming my way in recent times after introduction of the top rated seller programme.
If a buyer is cheated I feel angry. If a seller gets a wrong negative I feel sad.
Ebay has become part of my life. I got many friends from ebay.
Thanx,
Truly,
Amitava

Community Boards are mostly meant for user interaction. eBay team responds only if there is a topic that warrants a response. However, please be assured that most threads are read and when requred sent to various departments for action.
I personally get to learn a lot from our boards and so does the entire eBay team. So keep posting! ๐
Cheers!

I am not sure I am not dreaming reading this post, as it is a feeling of immense pleasure seeing you post on a topic. But I would differ a little with what you say. In case these threads are read (which I know they actually are as a seller was suspended after shill bidding was reported here on boards), then the staff reading should always comment on those, It wont take hours I guess.But this would in a way put forward the eBay point of view in the discussion. I guess Discussion boards are more discussion than reading.
eBay Staff are also a part of the community and they commenting will add value to discussions and help in clearing of many doubts which we sellers or buyers cannot clear.
@ Amitava Jee
As we discuss many times before the thing which is USP of eBay if compared to other portals is that it's a community based portal. We have users here, no buyer and sellers. As every seller can buy and every buyer can sell. So why differentiate. But the product centric campaigns which are being done these days are not a very positive steps in promoting eBay as a community trading portal.
@ Mustafa Jee
The people who 'once upon a time' used to take part in those lively discussions here with good understanding of the rules and perfect outlook of eCommerce have been frustrated seeing the poor response they get in here. The quality of the discussions is going downhill owing to a single factor that is very little participation of eBay staff in the boards.
If we members see some live pink always in here reading things commenting and implementing suggestion only then those type of brains will be motivated.
@ Prince Jee
ROCK ON WORDS.
