What is Happening? Where is the Business!

Hello,

Biz has gone down drastically in the last few days.

I was wondering if the same is the case with other sellerss as well?

down. There is a competition from other sites.
We are spending 15% to 20% on fees to ebay & 0.50% collecting our cheque from ebay. Hence low sales & high prices are the side effects.

Just to add,

The new paisapay comes with loads of bugs, lately some approved orders show up as pending procesing (hourglass icon) on my ebay ... there is total confusion handling these.... i have stopped listing for the moment just to sort the pending orders...

@ edward: i agree that "higher fees could have been one reason for the downfall in sales" but this is more of a seasonal effect...

Even i have closed shop & auctions because of ebay india haphazard no brain new paisepay policy. How do you expalin that sellers with lower ratings enjoy the express paisepay remttance while several established sellers like me with treble the positive ratings, get paid almost a month later! But sellers should not lose hope with the new paise pay policy,i think it is a question of a lucky dip whereby they just pick at random sellers & slot them, there seems to be no rational explanation, inspite of several emails to support, they just have no answer.i have 484 positive ratings & still they did not think it fit to put me in the express paisepay payment category,& i have been selling right from the bazee.com days when there always was a human being at the other end of the phone to solve my problems, but many with lower positive feedbacks are on the express paisepay payment, i am now selling with another id on ebay.com, where there is no such hassle & money comes first and in $$$. If the parent company has no such rules why is the indian ebay giving sellers a step motherly treatment?:|

Hi,

I am in the same boat as other sellers complain here. The sales is ZERO except my old customers sales. Some times eBay should consult experienced sellers and do any major changes. They just keep out of the door for discussion.

Still now i am totally against New PaisaPay and i myself slowed down my business, due to the lack of confidence with New PaisaPay rules.

As i afraid, one customer successfully cheated me with 2 items, and he got refund. He received probably few days later than the PaisaPay time line for delivery, but he is not either confirming or replying to me. I am in a situation to calculate the loss and add the same cost in my item price to save myself.

OLD PAISAPAY WAS WONDERFUL AND FANTASTIC FOR ME TO DO BUSINESS WITH EBAY. WHERE TO FIND THAT ?

My dead line is 1st MARCH. If PaisaPay fails to protect me, i am going to close the shop, as in my other thread.

Goodluck to everyone.

Kind regards,
CoolBrasCo.

What is Happening? Where is the Business!

Hello Hitesh and Others,

I started this thread out of frustration not seeing a single order in last 24 hours on both my ids. I did not expect such a response to this thread.

MY YOY sales are down by 40%. I just checked my PaisaPay Sales for period of 1st to 20 January 2007 and 1st to 20st January for my two selling ids veedeedircet and cameras_n_such. So if sales are down due to seasonal reason, they are down furhter this year than last year.

Regarding other sites, I would not really be able to tell as I started out from a small base last year. But, yes, sales are good on other sites, much better than ebay. Infact my sales during the 20 days of January have been the highest sales during a month in my entire online selling career.

Why sales are down so much? The marketing gurus at ebay.in have to figure out.

Surprisingly , No response or Message is ever received from any top brass of eBay.in .

Is eBay being just run through team of customer support staff only ????????????????????

We expect any MD , Chairman , Director to give a message regarding goals or achievements of eBay.in and inform steps being taken to bring the confidence among sellers .

No proffesional approach is ever seen to handle situations like prevailing at present .

Dear Cosycom
These are not ebay staff but call centre people who dont understand a thing what you are talking about, everytime you call another person comes on line & you have to repeat yourself over & over again till you give up out of sheer exhaustion:_|

This month has being the season with the most minimum sales.Adding to the headache is the powerseller status warning. So I guess I have to do an emergency remedy to boost up my sales. The best part is that they havent mentioned as to why my powellerseller status is under the scanner!!

A mail without any reason can keep the sellers looking in the dark.It is extremelly difficult for the sellers who sell at the brim of 20k per month especially sellers who sell low value items like coins, stamps, etc.

Anyways, bird flu is spreading around India,so do keep tab on ones own health.

Rahul
