Useless Customer Care/Service

I am utterly disappointed by the way paisa-pay works. I have been actively buying on ebay for sometime now and didn't have trouble with my purchases.

My last purchase was a digital weighing scale and it was delivered faulty to me. I raised claim on ebay for replacement. Since then I have been waiting. I called the customer care 6 times!! All the times I got assurances that the "claims" team will call me by end of day for sure. But no one called me, neither have I got any instructions on sending the defective item back to the vendor.

ebay's "paisa-pay Protection", "ebay guarantee" seems just like a eye-wash to me. There seem to be no protection/guarantee. Speaking to customer care is useless. Connecting to customer care takes ages, then they put you on hold for another while and finally they give you an assurance that someone will call by end of day!

My suggestion to anyone reading this post is NOT to buy anything more than a couple of hundred rupees. If you buy anything worth significant price and it turns out to be defective, you are by yourself!

I 100% agree with your view. I am registered ebay buyer since 2006. Recently I bought ASUS U32u laptop @ Rs. 28400/- The laptop received by me in broken condition on 17 Aug 2012. Same day I logged the claim, my claim id 113435, since than more than 10 days are passed but no one from ebay side contacted me, meanwhile I contacted costumer care on daily basis but those people are siting there to make U fool by telling that " team will call me by end of day for sure. But no one called me, neither have I got any instructions on sending the defective item back to the vendor". I contacted seller, he asked me to send back laptop. I returned back back laptop after thing photographs of laptop through FedEx courier docket no is 800998367997. The laptop was received by seller but I am still awaiting REFUND/REPLACEMENT or any assurance from ebay.
I will wait for some fore days, than I will file the case into consumer court, Rs. 28400 is my hard earned money and I am not going to loose that.
