Bought MP3 player (Item no. 5852055563) of Chinese make from seller 'Jillionline'. First time it played for less than 24 hrs and the space available shruck from 1GB to 500mb. We contacted the lady and she promised to repair it, saying that it was a formating problem. We received a replacement though, with her changing it to '..it can't be repaired.' Nearly amonth later, the same problem has come up and now she says she can't do anything as the it is out of the warranty period.

Please let me know what is the remedy. She is obviously selling sub-standard stuff, using the anonymity that eBay offers. The law of probability decides who is lucky to escape or who is unfortunate like us.

What does eBay do to ensure quality? We have burnt our fingers with Ms Jillionline, wasted more that Rs. 4000.

The lesson we learnt is "Do not buy from eBay - it has anonymous sellers, with dubious or no track record".

Thanks

Hi,

I had a formatting problem with a Chinese card for Digital camera but somehow I could format it thru my computer. I am not an expert on this hence don't want to describe the quack proceedure I had adopted. I think you can contact someone with good knowledge on this to help you get rid of this problem.

I hope the seller will stop selling such products. .
Best Regards 😄

First time she told us to format it, and when we returned the item she replaced it instead of repairing it, because it was damaged...this time round it worked for a month and a half, but then it started doing funny things -light colour that was set started changing it on its own and when i formatted(using the player software that she had given as she advised) it its capacity just reduced by itself...Then she told me that this has happened 2 months later so now she cannot help us.
The player has a fake SONY logo on it whereas the one shown in the item display has N-136 marked on it....The stuff is clearly spurious with a chip that either doesnt have the stated capacity or is designed only for one formatted.

Hi,

These products are from China. Some are good. Some seems good, But not good. If you want to go for an major electronic product, then I suggest you to go for a branded one like Sony.

A seller will be helpless and can't do anything as he has to sell them till his stock clears.

A seller only stop a product if the buyers gets disappointment.

So leave a neutral (recommended) or negative feedback and the others will not make the purchase of this product soon. ---------------
