Time wasting tactics

Hi,

I bought an item (350237885996) and instantly paid through paisapay (24877416015). Now the seller has got 7 working days to ship the item.

But the seller is not responding in anyway (through phone, email or ask a question). Also the seller the listed the same item again (350241199928) with same price, description etc. again on ebay which clearly tells that seller is not interested in shipping the item i have paid for.

Now the point is that seller won't loose anything, ebay won't loose anything, but my money is locked for 7 days of seller's shipping time + the time for refund process and what not.

Also i must say that the item i purchase was Buy It Now. So why seller is hesitating to ship the item. ebay should take strict action these type of fraud sellers.

As you are new to ebay, one important thing to note as thumb rule is, "NEVER BUY FROM SELLERS WHO KEEP THEIR LISTINGS PRIVATE".

It is very clear that by keeping listings Private the seller does not want you to know about him or his BAD dealings.

PS: Has the seller relisted the same item at a higher price or the same price ???

Hi,

1. Thanks for the tip. But what is a private listing ? I did a search for the product and i saw the listing it was not private (just for me if you meant that).

2. No the product has been re-listed at same price as earlier.

3. Today the seller has responded and through the new item he has listed and told me that the product was out of stock which he had got today, so lets see if he meets the deadline of shipping the product.

Private listing means where the item details are not made public. Hence you only get to see the feedback remark and buyers name but no item details are present.

The Samsung phone in this matter is a 2nd hand unit so where does the issue of "out of stock" arise in this case ???

Hi,

You're right. I have tried again to contact the seller but he has stopped resonding and have not shipped the item. I don't understand why he has re-listed the item when i have paid the same full amount. This makes ebay a weird place to do trading.

hi, this discussion is intriguing.

i am still a bit confused about the definition of a private listing v/s public listing...is there a help page where this definition is elaborated? or can you gimme a couple of item numbers that illustrate the difference?

Also, sometimes i see in the feedback left for a seller that instead of the item description, i see the word 'private'...is that what this means?
