Hi,

Your post clearly indicates that you have a lot unpaid item buyers.

Be positive and keep hope, you will also see good buyers.

Some times the buyer find the same product at better price or will change is mind to drop down the purchase.

This is a regular thing. We can't blame a buyer or force them to make the payment.

I think sellers don't suffer, they get the FVF Credit lately and that is the disadvantage.

So don't worry about this are keep listing your products. ---------------

Hi,

The best thing is customise your Buyer requirements in preferences.

This will really helpfull to you.

Also I suggest you to enable SMS Verification for few weeks though the sales might go down. ---------------

Nanveenth...

thats NOT OK...if a seller commits a mistake, ebay goes all out to remove his listings, ask for various proofs, suspends him etc...

when a bidder / buyer doesnt pay...just an FVF for the seller..?? what abt the time wasted and money spent on maintaining the stocks....what abt the situation where coz of this sham bidder..a genuine buyer doesnt get the product..and the genuine buyer buys from someone else...

ebay rules which say a bid is a legally binding contract.... if its a binding contract, a violation of contract should result in severe penalties...not suspension / unpaid item strike.. the buyer should be compelled to buy...

let me narrate what happend last week...i sold an ipod nano..the bidder after winning the bid says...that he can afford just 5000 and not 6800. now if he cudnt afford why the hell did he bid..there were no hidden charges included..everything was transparent - shipping chargs 249, insurance 100. so i mailed him stating that in case he refused to pay i would file a complaint with the cyber crime cell...and sent him web links to the CC cell... he later paid up...6500/-

now a real brainy chap would argue..that the is NO LAW in India to Enforce Online Sales.. ebay should clarify as to which law can be used to enforce the sale...since the Information technology ACT 2000, doesnt make any mention about sham buying of online products.

the contract ACt on which these transactions are based, doesnt make non payment a offence.. does not make sham buying an offence..unless ebay starts charging a registration Fee say of even 500 bucks...and a buyer loses the money in case of default...things wont improve...

ebay can use this fund to re-imburse the listing / gallery / highlighted listing fees for which FVF isnt available from this fund!

Unpaid items for the listings that were promoted or in auction formats, are a great loss to sellers. FVF is reversed but still promotion charges are not reversed. I would like to suggest the following to avoid this.
1. For auction format and promoted items, The bidder/ buyer should first open his/ her account with paisapay and should deposit some money into it. when he/ she wins the item, this amount should be transfered to sellers paisapay account immediately after the seller sends invoice for the item.
2. if the bidder bids for Rs 1000 and he has less then 1000 amount in his paisapay account, he should not be allowed to bid and should be asked to deposit that amount in his own paisapay account to qualify for a bid.
3. For BIN formats that are not promoted or shop listings, the buyer should get clear warning that the item is still available to other buyers untill you pay for this. Such listings should not end untill it is paid by the buyer or reaches its listed time.

I hope, if above facts are considered by ebay, there will not be UPI losses to sellers.
