As a Westerner I bought a Hindi-English and an English- Hindi dictionary from an ebay seller.

The CD's won't load properly, They have mis spellings in them. The text is too small and has no adjustment. Quality of sound is pathetic, They do not talk Hindi, only English, Generally useless. I have made eight different calls to the seller and been sent three sets of the pair of CD's none of which work properly,(Don't Load properly)

I told them I wanted my money back and no response.
I entered a dispute procedure as 'not fit for use' and not a advertised. I was told that ebay would investigate the matter and reverted in two days to say that they had spoken to the supplier and he assured them that they would offer all the service neccesary to make them work.

This apparently is good enough for ebay,

The product should never be offered for sale before it is tested and proven as satisfactory. The seller admits to these problems and is prepared to offer continued service until such time as they are fixed.

I wanted working goods when I ordered them and do not have time to spend answering the phone and being asked to carry out developement work on their behalf

Ebay rejected my claim and I am now stuck with three sets of two CD's that don't work.

The sellers advertising and website would lead you to beleive that they are number one in sophisticated software design and developement. No Way.In Western europe they would last a couple of weeks and no more.
I have contacted all of the people who have bought these same CD's from them in the last yaer. Not one of the buyers had a working set of CD's. In fact only three other people bought these dics, Comments from them include,
1. It's Got Viruses.' 2. Can't be bothered messing with
it' 3. Had problems, not using it.

Ebay say that if the goods for sale do not mislead you then their advert is quite acceptable. So if you buy a car then you will probably find,,,, no wheels. Nothing to do with ebay. A telecope with no lenses! Nothing to do with ebay.
Why can't ebay impprove their standards to an acceptable level and get a commitment like 'guaranteed complete and in good working order unless otherwise specified?

Ebay are con merchants and generally rubbish

In the UK I had a buyers and sellers score of 137. never one complaint form buyers of sellers simply acheived by being honest.

Hope some eBay staff read this and solve your problem soon. There are some scum sellers here on eBay like the hordes of fake buyers who need to be controlled.

You should have given an "item not as described" complaint. This might have helped you.

May eBay see this and resolve your issue soon.

Hi Goadigital.

I did just that. Filed a 'not as received' complaint, then went through all the procedure.

Ebay reckon the seller is a lovely man and I had no cause for complaint.. Sneaky bastards.
