Received the Unfair negative feedback because of buyer confusion.

Hi,

One of my buyer has purchased a Kingston 4GB Pendrive and we have delivered exactly what was shown in the product description.

But left me a negative with the comment "item displayed is different from one displayed? why this cheating?"

I soon called him, and he was happy to say that he has received the correct product and was mistakenly given the feedback.

Now, he leaves a Follow-up: "the seller contacted. the negative feedback may be withdrawn from the site. "

All my hard works gone to vain.

The buyer has sent me a mail stating:

negative feedback was left by mistake for the Item no. 280258596502

am satisfied with the product.

please remove the negative feedback from the site for the seller

sanjay

Because of his 1 min mistake from the buyer, why should I suffer for the same? ---------------

Hi ALL,
Because of this 1 min mistake, we are also suffering.

A new buyer "gskssoni" bought an item from us & by mistake left a neutral for it. When we contacted him, he told us that he was very happy with the purchase (& wishes to order more)& the rating was a mistake as as he had a poor knowledge of english & moreso, he did not understand feedback system & its importance, thus he couldn't understand the difference between positive & neutral. When he realized his mistake, he left a follow up feedback for us & has also emailed TnS regarding the mistake. He has also sent me an email to us regarding this mistake.

But yet, the only reply we receive from TnS is that they cannot remove the feedback as it doesn't meet their guidelines.

Now, though the neutral doesn't affect the rating, it certainly affects the SNP. Selling on eBay for such a longitme & Being a powerseller for such a longtime also doesn't help on eBay nowadays.

When each new policy is implemented we sellers are always assured by eBay that we will be listened to, but with each new day, that is happening less and less.

Best Regards,

Hi,

Got the reply from eBay.

We understand your concern in this situation and have reviewed the feedback comment for item 280258596502. Unfortunately, we found that the comment that was left does not meet the requirements for removal as outlined in our feedback removal policy.

I have 2 negatives now, both are buyer have left by mistakes and have been satisfied with my service. But can't change the feedback or withdraw.

eBay should allow members to withdraw the feedback as its effecting my score without any mistake of mine. ---------------

Guys,
I too have a same problem. I even spoke to the buyer and now there is no looking back ..
I think we are not slave to the feedback system of eBay which has left us no option but just to let our feedback to the dogs.

In near future.. you will have negative feedback for seller (which I see that very soon), and only positive to every non-paying buyer

Don't you think we are being make the joke after paying thousands and thousands of rupees as fees and commission to eBay to get the negatives.

Look again and we would not exist soon

Hi Navaneeth,
Please watch out for DSR.
The restriction to 4.3 is another wrong step.
I hear a lot about improvement of FB system.
Previously we had MFW.
Now the negative giver should be given the the chance to withdraw FB. We have seen many such willing buyers. The think tank is not able to think properly. Very sad.
Very negative attitude.
Please have faith in God.
God will punish the wrong doers.
To err is human. A chance to rectify the mistake ,that is what is needed right now.
Thanx,
Truly,
Amitava

Received the Unfair negative feedback because of buyer confusion.

Buyer left us a Negative Feedback without even contacting us. When we contacted him, this is what he said:

"Hi. I am sorry, but I was under the impression that feedback can be adjusted. I am more than willing to remove feedback (if this is still possible), provided that you help me solve the problem."

Even if we help, what do we gain? Nothing? Yes, we contacted eBay and the same standard response that they cannot do anything.

This message from the buyer clearly shows that they don't know that feedback can be withdrawn.

If eBay is adding so much text telling the buyer that please leave honest feedback, seller cannot leave negative feedback, then why can't eBay add a line there that says, though sellers cannot leave negative feedback, please note that feedback once left cannot be adjusted or withdrawn and you are therefore advised to contact the seller first. Is adding these 2 lines that difficult?

Additionally, regrading DSRs' most buyers believe that a 4/5 is also a good rating because generally 4/5 is good. But here too eBay leaves a message that says please leave honest DSR, it's anonymous. Why not add a line that says, please note that eBay considers anything below a 5/5 as an unsatisfactory transaction and will affect the seller?
