Dear Members,
We have noticed that most listings under the below mentioned categories are listed with ‘free shipping’. However, there are some listings under these categories that provide item price and shipping cost separately. Also, there is no uniformity in the shipping costs. This creates inconvenience to buyers because they see various product prices.
Therefore, effective 9th February 2014, there will be the following limits on the maximum shipment cost which sellers can charge buyers, for the below mentioned categories.
Meta |
Max Local /National Shipping & Handling Charges (INR) |
Max PaisaPay COD Shipping & Handling Charges (INR) |
HOME & LIVING (11700) |
55 |
125 |
CAR & BIKE ACCESSORIES (131090) |
55 |
125 |
FITNESS & SPORTS (13361) |
55 |
125 |
This means the sellers will not be able to charge more than the above stated shipping costs under the Tab ‘Shipping Cost’ for domestic shipments.

The shipping charges are quite unreasonable.
Most products in home and living category are volumetric in size with the volumtric weight being around 15-20 kgs. Shipping them with shipping charge at max Rs 50 is not feasible.
Home and living is not similar to mobile accessories category where most products are less than 500 grams. Therefore please consider revising the same.

Will ebay explain which shipping/courier company charges Rs 55 for articles over 100 grams?
As pointed out earlier most of the items in this category are bulky.
Don't you do market survey before making such kind of policies??

You mention here the maximum applicable fees for the shipping charges are 55. But even after the seller charges for 300 and more for delivery handling charges, You people arent able to deliver the product and we may need to cancel the product.
Have lost my complete faith over e-bay. You people dont have the guts to show your original capability of delivering the goods.
