Piracy : how ebay controls?

I recently made my first purchase on ebay, bought a PS2 game at a price of 149 rs. i had my doubts how the seller was able to sell the PS2 game normally costing 2700 rs at such a rate and i found out when i received the game. it was a pirated DVD copy of the game. Which dint work on my PS2, obviously.

1. it is a case of seller cheating the buyers.
2. If that CD would have worked i would have been using a pirated game.

How does E-bay control such issues?

๐Ÿ˜‰Dear Fellow sellers, What about the guys who buy from the gray market and sell them at original rates.
Who says one cannot screenprint on a Cd and make it look original. 95% of all users are using Pirated Software except for Organisations. Read about Malaysia where maximum people buy Pirated Software from shops. So much so that Bill Gates has Offered to make it legal if one pays a token amount of US 1$.
As long as Pirated Software is available on the net people will use it. Scams are going on in ebay itself. One has to be careful that's all.
The whole issue has come up because the DVD didn't work. If it had worked I am sure the buyer wouldn't have complained it was a Pirated copy. That was clearly the fault of the seller who didn't check himself whether the DVD works or not before selling it.
The fault of the buyer was that he thought since he is getting it so cheap, why not.
Should we not be little more honest with our selves.
