Hello! I am Manisha Kaul my ebay id is honest_himachal.I have posted a letter of one of my best friend Sooraj Awasthy (ebay id awasthy_1in) to "Help from other users"...name of the topic is "Think about the buyers of very remote area".I REQUEST YOU KINDLY READ THAT LETTER.As i interested in ebay due to Mr.Sooraj Awasthy, but when i saw him very frustrated, and tensed abt the dealing of EBAY specially for very remote area people...he said me that better we quit ebay because its a FUN for urban area & city based people & nothing else.He live approx.65 miles from our village which is hilly & very remote,he used to come alternate day or twice a week to visit the wholesale shops in our area for purchase some items to sell in his village.As he was my best friend,he used my computer and net, he created his email address and after some time he registered in ebay,i am also using the same email id of yahoo.com. Now the questions are (1.)awasthy_1in SENT THE EBAY FEES OF Rs.209.00 VIDE DEMAND DRAFT (No.SYH 425738)ISSUED BY BANK:PUNJAB NATIONAL BANK,Branch:RAJA KA TALAB. POSTED BY RGISTERED POST (No.3005)ON 1st of Sep.2006.He mentioned it in every notice..but your ebay staff need PROOF! THERE IS NO PHOTOSTAT & FAX FACILITY IN THIS AREA.BUT MORE THAN THAT when a gentleman gave you the full description then why you people not search it in your "letter receiving section" or why you not asked or enquired this in post office of your Area,or in your Bank A/C?? What action you take against the concern person WHO TOOK ACTION AGAINST awasthy_1in to suspend his ebay registration,if you find that not only the letter is delivered but also the DRAFT AMOUNT is entered in ebay a/c?????...he also attatched the email print out regarding the fees issued by EBAY.(2) WHY YOU ARE NOT ASKING Mr.Jishnu Bhattacharya for item No.300012923054 that when he recd. the M.O. ( We came to know By ack.Recpt.it delivered from our post office on 01sep.2006 and he recd.on 06th sep.2006 as his signature is on the receipt... shows the FACT!!!) But that fellow even not drop a single mail OF ACKNOWLEDGING and not send the item.AND BY HIS COMPLAINT YOU SUSPEND MY FRIEND'S EBAY A/C.!!! WHEN WE PURCHASED THE ITEM FROM HIM THEN WE INFORMED HIM THAT DUE TO HEAVY RAIN & LAND SLIDING IN OUR HILLY AREA WE ARE UNABLLE TO SEND YOU THE M.O. BUT WE WILL SEND IT VERY SOON...PL.COOPERATE.HE REPLIED O.K. ITS FINE!I WILL REVERT MY COMPLAIN WHEN I RECD. THE PAYMENT...Its not a metro city as Mr.Bhattacharya live in KOLKATA or your EBAY OFFICE functioning at MUMBAI."JHAT SE ORDER..PHAT SE PAYMENT ..TARRAK SE ITEM MIL GAYA" you will surprise to know we have to pay to the cour. ser. to receive the items even some time upto Rs.200.00 if its heavy as & for they make a STD call (of merely Rs.2.00)to inform us "come & take your item here" and they charged as per their wordings ..."we have to go PATHANKOT and the bus fare and the charge of the delivery boy cost Rs..so& so ..we are charging as it was only for your item or sometime two or three of others".Inspite of such type of problems we continue purchasing in ebay! NOW IT SEEMS ITS OUR VERY BAD MISTAKE AS EBAY INSTEAD OF SUPPORT & ENCOURAGE THIS TYPE OF BUYER USED TO SUSPEND THEM SO TAT SOME CUNNING SELLERS CAN DIGEST THEIR PAYMENT !!

Dear Mr. Sharat,

I have been an avid e-bay customer (from bazee.com days). So much so I buy all gifts, rakhis, clothes etc. from net.
I had a bitter experience over the last three purchases I made.

I had to send at least a hundred mails to get my products as the sellers refused to respond. It was only when I escalated my dispute that I got the items.

But, the items are of very poor quality and do not match with the details provided.

They are not gold plated as suggested and are made of cheap stones/glasses.

I can get a better item at my local market for Rs. 50/=. each.

Please this is my second bad purchase in a course of one month and I would not shop from e-bay in near future. I recomended e-bay to my office colleagues and relatives and friends but I have received complaints from them too (quiet embarrasing).

Please do some quality check at your end. Sort of random audit or inspection. This is important to bring credibility to your site.

Believe me in near future e-shopping will catch up in India too and you have to put faith in your customers.

I do a lot of e-shopping and one bad bargain can make me blacklist the site. The seller has nothing to loose. ( the seller can always go to some other means or site to sell their items). Nobody remembers the sellers name but the site.

I have a certain loyalty towards e-bay since I have done some wonderful shopping for me and my family in India and abroad since its bazee.com days and it feels sad that I do not want to be a part of this network.

Dear Sir,
I have purchased a product Aver Media Box9 on 17 August2006 from coolstuff , SHL Enterprises. I have received damaged product. I spent rs 60/- as courier charge to replace the item. The product has been replaced in two weeks time but the product is not original Aver Media Box9. i am totaly fedup with this as it has taken more than month. please do the needful to refund my ammount.

A few more questions -

1) If a buyer withdraws a ratings, it is suffience proof of resolution for SNP?

2) Can a Power Seller be pulled up for Non Performance? Or does being Power Seller mean that the Seller is a Performing Seller? Or there is a difference in being a Power Seller and a Performing Seller? And can a Power Seller be a Non Performing One?

3) Since your martices for SNP are obviously flawed but you are unwilling to accept the same, I need you assistance in solving a particullar negative rating -

A Buyer has rated me negative on 23/08 stating SNAD. After we have called the buyer a minimum of 15 times asking him to retun the product for a free replacement. However I have not received the product back till 21/09. I cannot send a free replacement without receiving the product back as it is a product costing Rs.1200/- Please suggest what I can do further? Please note this product is one of 200 pcs sold in one week which buyer claims has a problem. Other 199 buyers are very happy with their purchase and about 70-80 others have rated me postive for the same product.

Message: I had won the above item in e-bay auction ended 28.01.06 and paid thro' paisa pay ID no. 16280426821 on 30.01.06. However, the seller neither sent me the item, nor refunded the money. I had started a claim procedure, in time, on e-bay, but e-bay just posted the issue on "awaiting reply from seller" and thereafter UNILATERALLY CLOSED THE CASE, WITHOUT ANY REPLY OR ANY RESOLUTION. i had tried to contact seller SEVERAL TIMES, thro' messages sent thro' e-bay, BUT HE HAS NEVER RESPONDED (E-BAY MAY CHECK ALL MY MESSAGES FROM TIME TO TIME). EVEN, AS PER E-BAY PORTAL, THE SELLER IS NO MORE AN ACTIVE SELLER.

IN THIS CASE, I COULD GATHER THAT E-BAY SELLERS HAVE CHOICE OF EITHER SENDING THE PRODUCT, SOLD IN AUCTION OR JUST CHOOSE TO RETURN THE MONEY RECEIVED. THIS ASPECT IS BEING UTILISED BY THE SELLER IN SUCH A WAY THAT WHENEVER, THE FINAL AUCTIONED RATE IS LESS PROFITABLE, THEY ARE FREE TO RETURN THE MONEY. THE ABOVE CASE IS ONE SUCH CASE.

E-BAY WAS INFORMED OF SUCH POSSIBILITY, BUT THEY HAVE NOT TAKEN ANY ACTION, SO FAR.

I HAVE RECENTLY JOINED & SUCCESSFULLY BID FOR 26 ITEMS SO FAR. I HAVE NOT ENCOUNTERED ANY PROBLEM WITH ANY SELLER SO FAR HOWEVER I FIND SOMETHING DEFINITELY WRONG WITH SELLER "TRIJEWEL". I AM GETTING OUTBID INSTANTLY AFTER MAKING THE BID FOR ALL OF THEIR PRODUCTS & IT IS FOLLOWING THE SAME PATTERN. PROBABLY THEY HAVE PUT A MINIMUN PURCHASE PRICE & WOULD NOT ALLOW THE ITEM TO BE PURCHASED BELOW THAT. PLS LOOK INTO THE MATTER.

I've purchased ORIGINAL NOKIA 3250 HANDSFREE HS 20 WITH REMOTE CONTROL from the seller ID cellpoint_in1. It is mentioned that he is selling HS 20 Nokia Handsfree...But when I've received the item..I found that it is AD 49 and he had added some scrap earphones which are of very cheap Quality.....My first experience with eBay is really very bad...He had fooled me completely...May I know how should I go about returnig it and getting my Mondy back. Please help me.

I had been awarded a claim for an amount of Rs.10750/- (Purchase Protection claim no.979251) by Mr.Dylan M, Claims Adjuster, ebay Trust and safety.The amount is to be refunded to me by ebay by DD.But the time frame given for sending the DD is 60 days. My question is why such a long delay of 60 days? why not within a week or two!!
I think there is no reason for such a long delay.Request to expediate my claim immediately as already 15 days had passed after awarding the claim.

What is the basis and criteria set by ebay for delivery charges and taxes? Is it possible that a bidder get to know total amount before making a bid i.e. bid amount + delivery charges + taxes + other levies, if any.
It is experienced that some of the items are avaible for Re.1 or 1 paisa but delivery & other charges are couple of hundred. It is also experienced that some of the holiday offers are made at Re.1 or 1 paisa but taxes are in thousands.
This is definietly against the propogation of ebay that it is tranparent platform!!!!!

Hi,

i bought this item 160027007699 on 11th Sept. thru' paisa pay option (PaisaPay ID 17847074002). but today is 21 Sept. till now i didnt recived my item. I had sent 3 mails to the seller, i didnt get any reply from the seller. And the seller status is showing as 'No longer registered on ebay'. if this is not a valid seller and if they will not do any transactions with ebay then y shoud the seller is displaying in ebay site? Ebay has to remove this seller or it has to block the transaction for this seller. i had more transactions with ebay before this, but i never face this kind of situation before. jus explain me. and take response for my concerns asap.
