Dear Umang (indconcepts),
Thanks for the welcome and I am hoping to help you with some more clarification on New PaisaPay.
I do agree with you that a seller will not want uncertainties in his business. However, at the same time, I will request you to wear a buyer shoes. Do you think it is ok to leave a buyer in uncertainties especially when he is the one who is taking the leap of faith and putting his money on the table first? You rightly mentioned that the new PaisaPay will help all of us grow the business by increasing the buyer’s confidence. However, the same will not happen until we all decide to hold hands and take some bold measures.
To your question ‘Will a seller loose money?’ In case the buyer raises a refund claim, we will work with sellers to get proof of delivery and in case seller is not able to give the required proof of delivery will the money be refunded to the buyer.
In case the seller feels that the default timelines of PaisaPay for inputting shipping details or delivery period are not sufficient, the seller should ask for more time from buyer using the time extension feature of PaisaPay after asked to ship the item. If the buyer does not agree to the time extension then it is fair that he be refunded his money.
The next question that may come to your mind is – what if I am not able to provide proof of delivery? As we have mentioned earlier, we will be accepting online tracking as well (along with proof of Dispath) . I think it is a good practice to use couriers that provide online tracking. It will not only help you track your shipments better, it will also give peace of mind to buyers who will know that their products are in transit.
Even after taking such precautions and using a dependable courier, if you realize the shipment will get delayed get in touch with the buyer to explain the situation. Majority of the time, the buyer understands as he is more interested in the item rather than refund. If the buyer still goes ahead and files for INR, I suggest that the seller should immediately get in touch with PaisaPay team with necessary details so that they can look into the matter and try to resolve the issue.
Also please note that in case the buyer is convinced of the delay after raising the INR claim, PaisaPay has a feature where by the buyer can withdraw the INR claim.
Having time bar in which the seller will be delivering the item to the buyer gives the buyer a better visibility on when to expect the item. In case the seller feels that the default time lines are not sufficient the seller should use the time extension feature of PaisaPay as mentioned earlier.
PaisaPay is not recommending any specific courier company for you. You may use any reasonable courier company who can deliver on time and as long as you are comfortable that you will be able to contest an refund claim from the buyer. Proof of Dispatch along with AWB number (to track courier status online) is ONE of the proof seller can submit to contest buyer’s INR claim.
Hope this clarifies.
Regards
Vijay
