No relisting policy on eBay India!

I am a Power Seller at eBay India. Before the formation of eBay India, I was a regular seller at eBay.com.

The standard policy of eBay is, if an item is relisted (after it is not sold in the 1st time) and sold after the relisting, the listing fee is refunded.

However I find you are not doing the same to me in eBay.in. For example, the item 5437888759 was sold on 30.10.05. The item was initially listed on 19.10.05 (# 5435744457). It was relisted on 26.10.05 (# 5437888759). Since the item on relisting was sold 30.10.05, I was supposed to get the listing fee Rs 15 refunded to me. This was not done. As a result sellers like me who sell predominatly on International listing are losing a lot.

I have contacted your "Customer Service". They have informed me that no relisting credit can be given to me since there is no relisting policy on eBay.in (unlike eBay.com)

May kindly evolve the relisting policy at the earliest.

No relisting policy on eBay India!

True there is no Relist Fee Credit on eBay India.

The reason for this is that there is no Insertion Fee (and thank God for that considering the low volume of sales) on eBay India. Listing an item is free (for now) as we all very well know.

Since you were charged Rs. 15 listing fee I presume it was an International Listing.

General requirements for the credit

You must relist the item within 90 days of the closing date of the original listing.

Only the first relisting of an item is eligible.

Subsequent relistings of the same item do not qualify.

Both the original listing and the relisting must be in Online Auction or Fixed Price format (not Store
Inventory format or Real Estate Advertisement).

Both the original listing and the relisting must be single-quantity (not Multiple Item or "Dutch").

The starting price you set for the relisted item must not be greater than that of the original listing.

The relisted item must not have a reserve price if the original listing didn't have one. If it did, the reserve price you set for the relisted item must not be greater than that of the original listing.

The relisted item must end with a winning buyer. If the item doesn't sell the second time, the Insertion Fee is not refunded.

Qualifying Unpaid Items that are relisted and close successfully will receive a standard relist credit automatically if the item is relisted and sells. Read more on the Unpaid Item Process.

Dear hi2k_soho

In my post, I have already mentioned that most of my listings are 'International' listings and I have paid insertion fee of Rs15 for each insertion. Listing is Free for Indian listings but it is not Free for 'International' listings.
