It all started when I placed an order for a Samsung Galaxy Tab2 P3100 from EBAY on 14/03/13 for an amount of Rs. 15,047.00 (Rupees Fifteen thousand and forty seven). At the time of placing the order it was mentioned in bold letters that the product shall be delivered within 3-5 working days. I waited till 18/03/2013 but there was no confirmation / information regarding the shipment status of the product. Then I decided to give a call to the EBAY customer care and inquire about the same. I was spoken to by some Mr. Ajit when I asked that it has been 3-4 days and yet I have not received any shipment details nor any confirmation from the vendor or ebay. What is the delay “What are u waiting for ?”. He arrogantly replied that you have not invested any money with us u have just paid the amount and it is upto the seller to provide you the item. Then I told him if that is the case then you should market youself like this promising to deliever product within 3-5 days after that when payments are made just sleep over it. He told me that you visit your login and see that it is clearly written that it shall n reach you by 01 Apr 2013. To my surprise that was true I felt cheated. Then I told him to cancel my order I don’t want it from you and in the meanwhile drop a mail to the vendor to upload the shipment details or just cancel the order. Then I was told by ebay that they wait for 5 days if the vendor doesn’t upload shipment details by 19/03/2013 then automatically refund shall be generated. In the meantime vendor replied to my mail quoting that he had got enormous response to this deal and is short of the product and needs more time. I replied in negative.
When I pressed on finally I got a call from the vendor on 21/03/2013 that the consignment he had received is all faulty and is expected to receive fresh consignment by 23/03/13 and shall ship the product after that.
I declined and I told him it is too late, kindly tell ebay to refund my amount as I cant wait for this anymore. He assured he will do so and called me again that he has informed EBAY about the same.
In the interim I called up EBAY again asking them what about the refund, they had no clue about this and still insisted that vendor has provided the shipping details in their system. I was shocked when I asked them how is it possible they told me that you have to now apply for refund yourself and we shall resolve it at the earliest.
Today it is 23/03/13 and still there is no response from ebay. They haven’t moved an inch yet. I don’t know who was lying in this entire episode. I have tried to cut down my experience because at every possible moment I was provided with inconsistent information which was completely out of sync with the version of the seller.
Lesson learnt EBAY is highly incompetent and unprofessional. Their staff itself is incapable to handle clients and they don’t seem to have a consistent flow of information. My whole amount of Rs. 15,047.00 (Rupees Fifteen thousand and forty seven) is still stuck with them and I have no idea how long it is still going to take to get my refund back.

Firstly there was no need to contact ebay due to no tracking no given by seller. You should have read the rues of ebay regarding shippment. It clearly says you will have to wait max 7 days after purchase if your item is not shipped by seller,in this case money automatically gets refunded without even calling anyone. Everything is electronic.

Go to resolution and open a case.

why you are trying so hard by calling when there is a easy way for you??

You should have read how the buyer protection works on ebay.

use some commonsense and work it out easily.

i can see all the complaints are from NEW BUYERS with NO FEEDBACKS.

this shows how ignorant the NEW buyers are!!

sorry for what i said, but the fact is it is true from your case.


NOW GO TO RESOLUTION CENTER AND OPEN A CASE & YOU CAN SEE HOW EASY IT IS TO GET YOUR REFUND.

pcssp , dont worry your money will be refunded back to you , ebay is safe place to buy , if you will not get product , your money will be refund back to you ..........
i not want to name but in google you can found some sites neither deliver the item nor refund the money , in ebay your money is always safe compare to other sites are full of risk , p1000 was having some mfg problems in one of the lot send to india and samsung is changing that lot ,and its short in all india

Well, I'll say eBay charges a hefty premium for providing this buyer protection (gets deducted from the money buyer pays).

So, I don't think Customer Care has any right to tell you that you speak Seller directly rather they should guide buyers how to deal with this (open case whatever).

TO OTHER SELLERS (immensechaisma) -- There might be a lot of people who have used eBay extensively and aware of the processes. But one needs to be considerate about new people before being harsh on them.

hi again thank you all for your valueable inputs. ...as suggested by many i had open a refund status on 20/03/2013...and i am still waiting...nothing more than a email from some Mr sarthak Banerjee who still insists that they kept me updated at all times. Iwas promised a call back within 48 hrs. on friday evening and again within 24 hrs on monday morning but m still waiting.....it is sick yaar..
