Let Sellers Have ability to Leave Negative Feedback to Buyers

Many on eBay are a Seller and also a Buyer. Give both sides an equal and unbiased importance.

Let the Sellers have ability to leave negative/neutral feedback along with Star selection for the purchase a buyer made.

Stars: Communication (responsive), cooperation (in resolve any issues), Acknowledgment (timely item receipt), Payment (how much time he took to pay after checkout), Recommend (recommend this buyer to have as buyer).

Also, if a buyer receives few negatives/neutrals, let that account as buyer be restricted.

Also, introduction of Power Buyer.

We know that its difficult to digest yourself and for your programming/development team. One needs to go with the future and update things along with the Changing World.

Negative feedback used to be there for buyers too earlier but it was removed by ebay. The cause was blackmail by sellers. A lot of sellers left a negative feedback if the buyer left a negative for them even with no fault of buyer. Similarly a lot of buyers didn't leave a negative feedback where they faced a genuine problem fearing a negative feedback from seller.

Ebay should think of some method to overcome the blackmail problem and then re-launch the negative feedback option for buyers too. I like your suggestion of detailed rating using stars for buyers and the option of power buyers !!!

Not all buyers are genuine or good.

By introducing negative feedback system on buyer, it will reduce the wrong / cheat buyers. Atleast, while leaving the feedback (let it be positive) there should be Star options to assess the buyers. Also, this is useful to block certain buyers.

Alternatively, let the current system be as it is but introduce atleast star ratings. If not, at the atleast introduce an option like 'Recommend Buyer': Yes / No / average. This way, Seller can block users with x number of 'No''s can't bid on the listings and Seller can reduce risk of wrong buyer.

what is the use of positive only for buyers? why ask sellers to leave feedback ebay can type and leave the feedback to the buyer immediately after the payment since there is NO use in use in this form of POSITIVE ONLY for buyers?

and also there should be a option for sellers to restict there listing from zero feedback buyer (if they so wish to, because most issues happen with these new registered buyers only)

Dear Ebay,

It is really a high time now that the matter should be looked on as there are many buyers who try to be fishy with the sellers. Specially the new buyers. I have come across number of buyers who are new to ebay and give negative / neutral feedback saying that they did not read the description properly or they did not like the product personally.

It is very difficult for the seller like us to give the best of the services at times to the buyers who reply you giving such reasons.

Hence I with the other sellers of ebay would request EBAY to introduce the negative / neutral feedback or similar kind of things for the buyers of ebay as it will be fare for both, the buyers and the sellers.

It will in turn help Ebay to be a more safer site to deals properly and risk free.

Looking forward for your earliest action to improve ebay.in.

@inteli_india, you are right and this saves time and Sellers later can leave followup if needed. And we see eBay people asking Sellers to leave feedback immediately to buyer upon payment. Atleast, eBay application should have an option to rate the Buyer for his activity post order. ie; Seller can rate the buyer for his cooperation in taking delivery, understanding Seller / courier barriers, Providing accurate address/details, tried to cheat/manipulate/threat, feedback abuse, how good s/he is as a Buyer. Did they acknowledged item receipt - kind of ratings or yes/no options.

@gr8_perfumedeals, you are right, Seller is already blocked up with time, orders, courier followup, refunds, cases and listings. Though there would be some cheat Sellers, many would be good and also again these Sellers are also Buyers. So, both should be given same level of importance. When things are clear and when read manually the negative feedback and when it is understood that given feedback contradicts the description, eBay should remove it.

Infact, we like to be the feedback as it is on the Seller account. It can be removed only if it would effect business of a true Seller or eBay community, totally wrong, abuse, assertion, non-compliance cases. This can be done by manually verifying the details in hand.

Tip: New Buyers always need to be followedup at every point of time till he receives the item. Only then Seller gets good feedback.
